Squad eight followed behind the villagers as they carried their wagons and stuff to their village. The entire trip was calm, the said animals weren't attacking for some unknown reason. At first it got suspicious but they realized they had only been traveling for a couple hours now so they can't judge yet.
Y/n: This is so boring!
Kurenai: Calm down Y/n.
Y/n: C-calm down? You want me to calm down? We have been walking for so long and I have not seen one animal jump at us or stare at us!
Kurenai: You want to get eaten by an animal?
Y/n: No, that's not what I mean, I want action.
Kurenai: Patience.
Shino:...yeah...
Hinata: Oh?! it's getting dark.
Y/n stopped with his team and looked up at the dark sky.
Y/n: Yeah. Hey villagers it's time to rest c'mon!
All the villagers stopped and looked at one another with a face of concern. One of the villagers pushed himself through the crowd and shaked his head aggressively.
Villager: No! No! No!
Kurenai: What's wrong?
Villager: We can't stop now!
Y/n with suspicion looked at Shino whose facial expression was the same but with a slightly raised eyebrow.
Shino: Why not?
The villager started shaking then spoke up.
Villager: The animals!
Kurenai: There hasn't been any animal sighting for awhile now I doubt any will appear at night.
Villager: You don't know those creatures! They are evil!
Kurenai: Fine then, Shino scatter your bugs around this area to make sure to give us a warning when an animal is coming.
Shino: Yes Sensei!
Shino stuck one of his arms out and from the depths of his jacket a swarm of flies flew out. The villagers all took a step back a bit shocked and creeped out by the boy. Shino lowered his arm and turned to everyone as if everything was normal. The villagers weren't the only ones creeped out, Y/n who was standing next to Shino took a massive step back.
Kurenai: Our priority is to keep you safe and that means making sure your all in the best of health, that means well rested and fresh.
Y/n: That's why you told us to pack sleeping bags right?
Hinata: And that's why the villagers have crates to carry their tents and other sleeping supplies.
Y/n turned to Hinata shocked.
Y/n: They got tents?! We could bring tents?!
Y/n turned to Kurenai.
Y/n: Why don't we have tents!
Kurenai: Were protecting them so we have to sleep outside, it's part of our mission.
