ARCHER ROAD
Dana was heading to the police station after meeting with Claire at BHU about how to better the security measures when her car started slowing down.
She checked the gas levels, and saw that her tank was almost empty. It had been a busy few weeks, and Dana had pushed that priority to the back of her mind.
She tried to make it to the nearest gas station, but there was no use. The car ran out of gas, and stopped. Dana sighed, unbuckled her seat belt, and got out of the car, hoping to flag down someone who had gas.
Dana waited for a few minutes, but no one came. Then she remembered that an officer at the station could bring some down to her, so she got her phone out and called.
"Hello?" Officer Thomas answered.
"Hey, Dan. Do you happen to have any gas on you right now?" Dana asked.
"I might. What for?"
"I forgot to get some while I've been out this week and was hoping that you'd be able to bring some down to me? I don't want to be late for my shift."
"Sure thing. Where are-?"
"Hold on one second."
Dana had seen a car coming down the road and decided that she'd flag them down.
"I have it under control now. I'll be there soon, Dan," Dana said.
"No problem," Officer Thomas replied before ending the call.
The car coming towards Dana wasn't going fast at all, so she had no worries that something bad would happen.
Boy was she wrong.
She emerged from the passenger side of her car onto the road, which took the driver of the oncoming car by surprise.
As much as they tried to stop, it was too late.
Dana rolled on the whole length of the car, and landed near the back of the car.
It stopped, and three people emerged from it.
And she hadn't expected to see Ava Jalali, Caitlin Park-Lewis, and Dylan Walker to be responsible for her death.
Slowly, her life drifted away, and the final thing she heard was...
"What have we done?" Ava asked.
A car was coming towards her, Dylan, and Caitlin.
They stood, frozen.
What were they supposed to do? They'd never been in this position before.
Their lives would be over.
The car stopped, and the headlights turned off.
The driver's door opened, and someone stepped out from the shadows.
The moonlight revealed who the person was.
