HOSPITAL

MONA'S ROOM

"Have you looked in the file yet?" Dylan asked Caitlin.

"No, not yet. I wanted to wait for us all to be together," Caitlin replied.

"How generous," Ava said sarcastically, walking over to Caitlin to look at the contents of Claire's file.

Caitlin opened the file with everyone, sans Mona, crowded around her.

"Claire Hotchkiss. Born March 8, 1970 to Martha and Phillip Mays. 2 brothers, Graham and David. Graduated from Harvard in 1992. Married to Peter Hotchkiss until his death in 2009. CEO of Hotchkiss Industries and Dean of Beacon Heights University," Caitlin read off the first sheet in Claire's file, which seemed to be basic biographical information about her.

"You could find all of that from a Google search. What else is there?" Mona asked.

Caitlin flipped to the next page in the file, and then the next, and then the next. She continued to do this for a moment until Dylan spoke.

"Caitlin, what is it?" he asked.

"Everything else in this file is redacted. This is useless to us," Caitlin replied, frustrated.

"What?" Alison asked, going over to her and looking to see that anything that could be any use to them was in fact blacked out.

"Claire runs Beacon Heights. It makes sense that she could get away with hiding the truth about herself," Mona said.

"She shouldn't be able to do that. This is why we have to stop her. She has too much power. Especially if she's the Professor," Ava said.

"This is all so dark and twisted," Caitlin said.

"Ali and I have seen worse," Mona replied.

"Mona's not wrong, but we don't have time to compare stories right now. Clearly Claire won't let herself be vulnerable to the potential of being exposed, which we already knew. We should all take a day or two to regroup and think about another way to find her weaknesses," Alison said.

"As much as I want to take that bitch down, I agree with Alison. There's only two days of classes left before break and I'd like to get my credits for the semester before the Professor can kill me," Ava agreed.

"Let's hope we don't let them get that far," Alison said.

5 MINUTES LATER

PARKING LOT

Alison unlocked her car and opened the driver's side door. She took her purse off her shoulder and put it on the passenger seat, but in the process accidentally dropped her keys on the floor.

When she reached over and down to grab them, she saw a red flashing light. If Ali hadn't bent down the way she did, she never would have noticed it. When she took a closer look, she gasped after realizing what it was.

It was a bug.

Just like the one Dr. Fielder has under the table in her classroom.
