A comfortable silence filled the air as the two watches the fireflys dance around the night sky. That was until Iwaizumi decided to bring it up....
___________________"Iwa-Chan, staring at me won't make you look any better," Oikawa joked.
"Actually Oikawa, I have a question," Iwaizumi said. A number of possible questions ran through Oikawa's mind, What could he possibly ask me?
"Are you really quitting volleyball?" Iwaizumi asked. Oikawa was surprised, How did he know that I was going to quit?
"Iwa-Chan, where did you get that idea from?" Oikawa asked innocently.
"Oikawa, I can see right through you, I over heard your conversation with Ushijima." Oikawa noticed that Iwaizumi didn't look all that happy. Why did he have to go and spoil that mood, Tooru thought.
"Iwaizumi, I thought long and ha-"
"YOU CLEARLY DIDN'T GIVE IT ANY THOUGHT!" Iwaizumi cut him off.
"Iwaizumi..."
"We've been playing volleyball together since we were able to walk! How can you throw everything you have away like this! How can you throw me away like this!" Iwaizumi shouted at Oikawa. Tooru couldn't bring himself to say anything back.
"And did you really mean what you said to Ushijima?" Iwaizumi was beyond pissed at the moment.
"What do you mean?" Tooru avoided eye contact with the other boy.
"You know what I mean Shittykawa."
"Can you please tell me," Oikawa pleaded.
"Do you really regret coming to Seijoh and not going to Shiratorizawa?" Hajime was on the brink of tears, it was usually Oikawa who was the emotional one. Tooru sat there in silence, how could he respond in a situation like this?
"WELL?!" Iwaizumi yelled. A flock of birds nested on a near by tree flew away.
"Iwaizumi..." Oikawa couldn't muster any words, he knew what he said hurt Hajime, but he wasn't supposed to hear the conversation.
"WAS IT BECAUSE I'M A WEAK ACE?" Iwaizumi now had tears streaming down his face, Oikawa now knew that Iwaizumi must have been blaming their loss against Karasuno on himself.
"No! It wasn't because of that, you're a strong ace, it wasn't your fault we lost Iwa-Chan." Oikawa tried to comfort him by patting his hair but Iwaizumi slapped his hand away.
"I know that you know that if you would've gone to Shiratorizawa, you would be playing at nationals and you wouldn't be stuck with me," Iwaizumi sniffled and wiped the tears with his shirt.
"Hajime no, I'd never think like that, I wan-"
"Bullshit! You know what, goodbye Shittykawa, have fun with your star ace boyfriend Ushiwaka." Iwaizumi stood up and ran down the path they came from leaving Oikawa all alone. Oikawa has to admit he was hurt, although not as much as Iwaizumi.
He didn't give me a chance to explain anything, but then again what was I supposed to say.... after what he overheard from mine and Ushiwaka's conversation he might never forgive me. Oikawa sighed and gathered all the picnic supplies. He carried them all the way down the trail until he reached the parking lot where he had assumed Iwaizumi was waiting. But Hajime's car wasn't anywhere in sight.

Oikawa cursed as he felt raindrops hit his head. The brunette ran to the nearest subway station hoping the trains weren't shut down for the night. Luckily for Tooru, he made it just in time to catch the last train. The drenched boy set the picnic supplies on the seat next to him and sighed. I bet Iwa-Chan really hates me now...

Oikawa ran through the stormy weather protecting the supplies as if they were children. Tooru finally managed to enter his neighborhood and ran to Iwaizumi's house first. He went up to the porch and gently laid the supplies near the front of the door and ran off. Oikawa crossed the vacant street and walked back to his house, there was no point in hurrying since he was already soaked in rain. The ex-setter entered his empty home immediately stripped his clothes and putting them in the washer with the rest of his dirty attire. Oikawa dragged himself to the shower to wash off, the hot water felt good compared to the freezing rain. Oikawa turned the water off and dried himself. He brushed his teeth and dressed in pajamas. He then walked over to his most prized possession, the two red koi fish."Grandma, mom.... please help me." Oikawa's voice cracked as he fed the fish.
"What am I going to do? What should I do in a situation like this?" Oikawa started sobbing. Tears streamed down his pale skin as he continued to talk to the two fish.
"I bet it's so fun being a fish, fish don't have human problems!" Oikawa continued to talk nonsense to the the fish. This was Tooru's bad habit, almost every other day he would sit down and have a conversation with the fish his grandmother left for him. He likes to pretend that the fish embodies his deceased family's entities.
"Mom, why am I all alone?" Oikawa questioned the fish in front of him, but the only response he got was a piece of shit the fish pooped out. Oikawa stared crying even harder, he hated it when the fish poops whenever he was talking to them.
"Grandma, should I come and join you guys? Oikawa tried again, but this time with the other fish. The fish opened and closed it's mouth.
"Yeah you're right, thank you Grandma." Oikawa fed the fish and headed off to bed. He had a long day and his feet were killing him from the amount of running he had to do. Iwaizumi was now mad at him and to top it all off he: Tooru had just realized he was just taking advice from a fish,
"I think I'm clinically insane...."

Iwaizumi had heard a noise coming from outside his house. He got up from the kitchen table abandoning the cereal he was eating. He cautiously opened the front door and stuck his head out looking for anything suspicious. Then his eyes wandered upon a certain set of picnic supplies, his picnic supplies. Hajime again looked around for anyone who might've dropped it off but the rain made it hard to see so he gave up. Iwaizumi shrugged and picked up the surprisingly dry supplies. How are these dry when it's storming outside?
