Chapter 12: close calls

Dawn's POV

"Dawn? dawn are you ok?! answer me?!?"

I felt like I couldn't move or feel anything, I tried to recognize the voice but it didn't matter as much to me at this moment.

I tried to move but I just couldn't, I tried to speak but all that came out was a painful groan from my throat.

Suddenly I began to start to get some feeling back. I felt someone shaking me as they kept yelling at me to wake up, as if they felt like they were losing me or worst.

I didn't comprehend any of this, what's going on? what's happening? why am I all of a sudden in such great pain?

I used all of my strength to just slightly open my tightly shut eyelids. The first thing I saw was the sad silver eyes that seemed to be looking into the deepest depths of my soul. Silver's eyes seemed to hypnotize me Into staying conscious.

His red hair was flattened onto his head, yet his red bangs slightly covered those enlightening eyes of his.

I saw a spark of hope glisten in his silver eyes when I first opened my eyes.

I could barely mutter out the words "I felt like I've been hit by a truck"

Silver smiled slightly.

It was hard to breath, as if there was something blocking my lungs, and I didn't feel like myself at all, I had a strange feeling in my stomach and I had an excruciatingly painful headache.

I began to cough as I rolled onto my stomach and lifted myself up with my arms and knees supporting my weight. I coughed painfully, and when I opened my eyes my heart almost stopped, there were drops of fresh blood on the concrete, I lifted my hand to my lip and when I took it off and looked at it, my finger was coated in crimson red blood.

I mutter barely audible "what's...... What's happening..."

My arms began to feel weak, my vision started to get blurry and dark, I struggled to keep my eyes open, but I couldn't. my arms gave out and I collapsed onto the floor, not even feeling the painful impact as my vision completely darkened.

Silver's POV

She collapsed onto the floor, not moving a single muscle.

I shook her and said "dawn, dawn are you there? dawn, Dawn!" I shook her more violently, attempting to get some sign of life from her.

I stopped shaking her and put my two fingers at the end of her jawline, checking for a pulse or any sign of knowing she's still here.

Suddenly I heard a small heartbeat, it seemed dull, and the heartbeats were growing further and further apart.

I put her head in my lap and muttered "dammit Gold if you aren't here soon..."

I looked down at the pale girl as she started to slip away right through my fingertips.

I muttered "please gold..."

I recalled a couple memories as I looked at the helpless girl. I looked at her and its like she was slipping away little by little every minute.

Her body felt ice cold, I put the back of my hand on her forehead and it was burning hot.

Suddenly I heard approaching footsteps. I heard the rattling of keys as the footsteps approached closer. I gripped Dawn's cold body tighter as I held her to my chest.

Suddenly Gold appeared on the other side of the bars, holding a huge set of keys.

I laid Dawn back onto my lap and I yell whispered "what the hell took you so long!?!"

He looked through the keys as he tried them out one by one.

I yelled "Dammit gold hurry up we don't got time for that!"

Gold whined "I'm trying!" as he flipped through the keys jamming them in the keyhole one by one.

I sat there impatiently waiting for the dark haired boy to find the damn key already.

Gold caught my attention when the lock clicked and the steel door swung open.

Gold asked "what happened to her?!?"

I answered "there's no time for
That we gotta get the hell outta here"

Gold picked up Dawn as he got out of the cell and started to walk quickly down the halls as I followed him.

The only thing that rushed through my mind was "are we gonna make it out alive"

Ok guys, I'm super sorry for no updates, and when I actually do update, it's 2 sentences long. I'm sorry, but not as much as I am excited!!
