I couldn't help but feel sleepy on the way to the famous Takwa Bay. I had no time to preach to my brother about his quite careless lifestyle even though I had to; I did understand that he had to be at beaches, clubs and generally public places and hang outs because that was where his dance performances were staged; but why he had to throw an all night party after each one didn't have a morally acceptable explanation.

I sighed, Kachi.

I suddenly felt overdressed as I passed the gates into the main Takwa Bay, watching the crowd of half-naked girls and boys ; a mixture of Indians, Whites, Chinese and of course the Nigerian majority hopping and playing all over the place; Afrobeats blasting into the cool breeze.I giggled. People were crazy.

I was actually supposed to be looking for my goofball of a brother but I sat comfortably under a cabana, taking in the fresh air and watching my mates run about the bay with their friends, family members, fiancés , fiancees, husbands and wives, flirting, dancing, playing games and getting soaked. Things I didn't do. Not because I couldn't; just didn't have time or eagerness to do such.
.I heard my name. At least I thought I heard my name; from a ways behind me, like the person wasn't sure it was me. Then the call rose at a climax till the person reached where I was and almost collapsed on me.

"Simbi!!!" My brother screamed into my poor, helpless eardrums.

I got up, startled.

"I missed you so much" He hugged me so tight I could feel my blood rising.

"I....missed you too" I said my arms slowly trying to respond to this act of love that I really wasn't comfortable with.

"Who's she?" I asked after releasing myself from my brothers bear hug. I dunno whether he'd become a trainer or something because his muscles were bulging; guess I'd ask him later.

My brother turned as I watched a fair girl jog up to us, wearing a tight swimsuit with what I would call a cavity in the middle of it, exposing a quarter of her breasts and her chest; her breasts bouncing along with her weavon as she moved.

"Oh, this, is Favour. She's my bae" my brother said with a sly smirk.

Favour blushed profusely and I drew up my nose. I could smell 'stuck up' in the air.

I don't know if I glared at her in my semi subconscious, but somehow, she didn't feel comfortable being there again.

"Um, baby, gonna go back and wait for you" she said to my brother.

"Sure"

She hopped back on the hot sand to where they were sitting, my eyes studying her as she plopped on a lounge chair and crossed her legs, gingerly picking up a cold drink.

I didn't like her.

I raised a brow at my brother,
"Is that the girl you're bringing home to mama?"

He looked at her, and then at me, and grinned.

"Nah"

I sighed pitifully as I looked once again at the girl

Women. Never cease to be deceived.

He laughed some more.

"Yo sis!" My brother hugged me again, squeezing me harder this time.

"I swear you're the only family I've seen in years"

He wasn't kidding. The last time he'd gone home was three years ago, and unluckily for him, it was my three elder brothers that were around. My mom wasn't available at the time.
