(So i know I said that the next part won't be for a few weeks but honestly I'm bored, my tablet is charging so I can't watch Netflix but that's getting off topic so, enjoy the story)

Cheryl's pov:

It's been hours, hours in the waiting room. They have her in the ICU which is family only.

I've went to the bathroom 3 times, visited the vending machine twice, texted updates to the group chat. I've tweeted and posted on Twitter and Instagram too. I'm just so nervous for Toni. Sweet pea and Fangs are here too. As well as Toni's siblings and parents.

Toni has a twin brother named Trevor. I never knew that, don't think anyone did. He's in private school, that's why. Toni wanted to go to public school for more freedom though.

Toni also has 2 younger siblings. A sister named Belle, she's 3 years older than her younger brother named Henry. Her sister is 15.

Her sister walks out of the ICU.

"It's getting late, you guys should go home"

"No serpent stands alone" says Fangs.

"I know" Belle says "I used to be a serpent too before we went to LA for... Well you know"

"For what?" The words slipped right out of my mouth "Sorry" I quickly said.

"No, it's okay. Cheryl right?"

I nodded

"We went for a new heart for Toni, but we didn't get there in time. It was given to someone else"

"Even if a new heart does become available, it's too late. The disease has reached her lungs" she says wiping a tear off her face

"Im so sorry" I said softly.

"Thanks, it's just sad thinking about it ya know, I've known her my whole life. She taught me how to get all the boys, and... simple girl things"

"Yeah, I had a twin brother"

"Had?" She asked

"Yeah... He's dead"

"Im sorry" she said

"Enough of this sad stuff" Fangs laughed to brighten the mood "We're not going"

"Suit yourself, I just came because mom told me too" They were so close that they all called her mom.

"Bye" she said as she walked back into the ICU doors.

I sighed. It's gonna be a long night because I'm not leaving either.

Toni's pov:

I woke up to bright lights. Was I dead? Am I in heaven?

"Mom! Toni's awake!"

Nope, not dead. I sat up gripping the sides of the bed coughing

"Ugh" I said feeling disoriented.

Then I noticed everyone had left the room.

I looked over by the door and saw a familiar red head.

"What are you doing here?" I asked

"I've been here all night" she said with a slight smile on her face

"Why?"

"I heard what your mom said when you passed out..."

"What did she say?"

"That you have 9 months to live..."

My heart dropped. No! Why would she say that. Now everyone's gonna be feeling sorry for me. This is the last thing I wanted to happen.

She must've read my mind.

"No, I won't feel sorry for you. Well i do feel sorry for you but... I know what it's like to have people feeling sorry for you everywhere you look..."

"It's the loneliest feeling in the world" I said

"I know, that's what it was like when my brother died" she said with a light smile on her lips. Those lips. Red lipstick, perfectly sculpted. I guess she caught me staring because she bit her lip knowing it would drive me crazy.

I thought she hated me, all these months of torture, endless bullying. She was the queen of Riverdale High, so there was nothing I could do about it.

Cheryl's pov:

I had bullied her all those years because I was jealous. She had friends, not because everyone was scared of her and did everything she said afraid of upsetting her. But because everyone liked her, she was perfect.

Flash back:

I walked into school. It was the first day of High School. I went to my locker with Ginger and Tina who i had known for years.

I looked over and saw Toni who already had two guys hanging on her arm. I didn't know or care what they were talking about. I was so caught up in her smile. Her teeth were perfectly white and joy tugged at the corners of her lips.

Her moist plump lips. I wanted to kiss her so bad, but I wasn't ready to out myself af as a lesbian yet. So I walked away. Gossiping with Ginger and Tina to start a rumor about her thinking that would get her attention. I thought that would get her to talk to me. But it didn't.

End of flash back:

"I'm so sorry" I blurted out.

"For everything I did over the years, I was just... I don't know" I quickly changed what I was about to say thinking she wouldn't feel the same way.

"Its okay" she said.

"Really?" I was shocked she could forgive so easily.

"Yeah, really, what's the point of holding a grudge?"

I looked at her confused

"I have an expiration date remember?"

"Oh" I said "about that, I wanna give you the best 9 months ever"

"Okay!" she excitingly said.

"Okay?"

"Yes, thank you"

Toni's pov:

She wanted to give me the best remainder of my life? Yes please! I was going to do that by myself but with my used to be bully? Hell yeah!

"Okay!" I said rather excited for no reason. Could she really commit to something like that? I would soon find out.

"Okay?" She asked

"Yes, thank you" I think she can commit.

I got out of bed and hugged her tightly. She hugged me back. A long warm hug. When we pulled back our faces were so close. I could feel her breath heavy, mine was too. She leaned in, I did the same. Were we really about to kiss?

"Hey Toni!" Shouted Fangs.

Guess not. So close yet, so far.

Fangs and Sweet pea practically ran through the door. They gave me a fun friendly hug. We were best friends for life. At least until my life was over.

Cheyl giggled at my friendship with them.

I laughed too. We all did.

"Who's hungry?" Said my dad as he walked into the room with pizza from downstairs. The rest of my family also came in. We practically had a party when Betty, Veronica and Ginger joined. Tina couldn't make it. We laughed and told jokes. We ate and watched TV. We had fun.

At the end of the night I climbed into bed feeling exhausted. I was knocked out as soon as my head hit the pillow. And with that, I fell asleep.
