She cleared her throat, making me snap out from my senses and look at her. She frowned and looked at me worriedly.
"Are you sure you're coming? Things might be a lil difficult for you since kaka-recover mo lang."
I smiled at her reassuringly and nodded, even though I didn't quite understand what she had told me at the last part.
"Milady, Young Master, we have arrived." Khierra—I mean, Oliver announced.
"Mauna na ako sa'yo, Big Brother. Afterall, magkaiba ang building natin." she spoke before leaving the car.
I frowned, staring at her as she walked with two women on her way to a large building.
"I'm sorry, Milady has been used to speaking in Filipino language as we migrated here."
I glanced at Oliver and slightly nodded. "Uh-huh.. what did she say?"
"She said she'll go on first, afterall your buildings are different."
I took my bag and eyed him for a moment before looking at the building once again. "Really?"
He smiled and nodded as a response.
As I opened the door, he had suddenly stepped on the gas and drove us to another route. I instantly had shut the door and glared at him in the rear view mirror, only to receive a laugh.
"Oh God.. works everytime." he laughed.
Seriously...
This Oliver guy and Khierra really are so similar from each other. They're both just annoying.
"Aight. We're here, Zeph." he announced then parked the car in an open field.
I looked around and frowned, before getting off the car. All I could see were cars parked in order, and a gigantic statue of a man that looked, somehow, so similar to Perhoan. There weren't any buildings. All I could see were trees and cars.
"Oliver, where are we?" I asked as he got off the driver's seat, holding his bag.
"Chill, Zeph. Just follow me." he smiled then shut the door. "Geez, I think this has been the 28th? Or maybe the 30th time that you've asked that."
I quickly followed as he started to walk towards the statue. "Where exactly are we? And what do you mean Zeph?"
"You've asked that too." he commented then stopped in front of the statue.
I only realised it was actually bigger than I thought it was as we got there. We were only as tall as the foot of the statue.
I looked back at Oliver as I heard a beeping sound, then went beside him. He glanced at me then stepped back, and motioned his head to the device attached on the statue. It looked some sort of hand scanner.
As I was about to place my hand on the scanner, an intangible force had suddenly wrapped around my body, giving off an eerie feeling.
"You okay, Zeph?"
I blinked for a few moments then looked at him.
He didn't feel any of that..?
He then approached me, his footsteps were echoing so loudly in my ears. I took a step back and stared at him with wide eyes, sweat trickling down my cheeks as I watched him approaching me. Very slowly.
What the hell is going on..?!
A wide grin was plastered on his face everytime he got near me. It's creepy how the ends of his lips had reached up to his cheek bones as he grinned and how his eyes and slowly turned bloody red, as his figure had grown taller.. and taller.
