chapter twenty-four

I woke up and saw that none of the boys had returned and I sighed. "Remmy wake up." I whisper poking him. "No thanks." he mumbled pulling me closer to him "Remus come on, the boys aren't back." I whispered and he shrugged "Fine by me." he mumbled "I'm going to go find them. Sleep well love." I say pecking him on the lips and slowly getting out of bed. "Y/N." he mumbled and I gripped the door handle "Yes Remus?" I asked "Come back after you find them to cuddle with me." he said and I giggled "Of course Remmy." I slowly went down the stairs and looked into the common room to see the boys and Lily laughing. "Hello everyone." I say as I walked to where they were all sitting "Hello there Piggie." Lily said happily "Hello there Y/N." Sirius said and I waved. I slowly lowered myself to sit by James and sighed "So what did you all do?" I asked and Sirius smirked "Well I went to go get some of Remus chocolate and saw him sleeping so I told everyone we should just hang out down here." he said and my eyes slightly widened "I'm sure Remus will be grateful that you let him sleep." I say and he nods. "How was Hogsmede?" I ask and James shrugs "Not bad, saw your mum a few times." he mumble and I turned my head to him. "Really?" I ask and Lily nods "We think she wanted to look around before ya know. She ran away." Peter said and I nodded "Amazing." I grumble. "Is that Remus sweater?" Lily asked with a smile on her face "Oh erm yeah it is. I let him use my notes and I told him to give me his sweater in return." I say awkwardly and she nods. "How do you feel about that Prongs?" Sirius asked James who looked upset "I'm fine with it." he grumbled and I nodded. "So why were you in our dorm?" Peter asked and I thought for a second. "Studying. Yeah I was up there and erm fell asleep in Padfoots bed." I said and Sirius nodded "So she was asleep when you went up there?" James asked "Yes she was." he said with a smile. "Okay, Im going to go get my stuff and erm rest in my room." I said getting up and walking towards the steps "I'll help!" Sirius shouted running over to me and we walked up the stairs. We stop outside the door and he turns to me "So you and Moony?" he asks wiggling his eyebrows and I nod "Yeah for about a month or two." I say and his eyes widen "You didn't tell me!" he exclaimed and I giggled "I'm very sorry Sirius. Thank you for covering for us, how about when I feel better I'll let you get super drunk and I'll take care of you." I say and he nods "That sounds like the best plan ever." he said and I giggled before I opened the door to see Remus sat up reading. "I'm back." I say walking into the room with Sirius behind me "I see that. Hey Pads." Remus says and Sirius waves "He knows." I mutter while sitting by Remus. "What? How?" he asked and Sirius grinned laying down on his bed "I have my ways. Now I suggest you two split before James comes up here." Sirius said and we nodded . I turned to Remus and smiled "You'll get your cuddles soon love." I say kissing him before getting up and walking over to Sirius "Next Saturday is when I'll pay you back." I say and he nods "Bye Rem! Bye Pads!" I shout closing the door. Sirius blows me a playful kiss and Remus waved goodbye. I exhale and slowly walk to my room.

I started writing my DADA essay when there was a knock on the door. "Come in." I answer while keeping my eyes glued to the parchment. "Good evening Miss Potter." McGonagall said walking in and I smiled up at her "Evening Professor. Did I do anything wrong?" I asked and she shook her head no. "Miss Potter, your Mum came by early and said she wanted to be your legal guardian again." she said slowly and I dropped my quill "She what! Well is she?!" I practically yell and McGonagall sighs "No she isn't because Miss Potter I'm your godmother so I'm your guardian. Your father named me your godmother when he was attacked, but he insisted you lived with James." she said and my jaw drops. "You? Godmother?" I ask and she nods. A smile pops up on my face and I hurry to her and hug her tight "This is amazing!" I exclaim and she laughs while hugging me back. "And Miss Potter," she continued and I hummed a response "Your aunt is in St.Mungos, we think an unforgivable curse was used on her. I've already informed James." she said and I nodded tears building in my eyes "Thank you Professor. I'm going to excuse myself." I say running downstairs to the common room where the boys and Lily were. James was pacing the floor and his face was tear stained. "James." I whisper and he whips around to me "YOU! IF YOU HAD JUST WENT WITH HER IT WOULDNT HAVE HAPPENED!" he bellowed at me "I thought meeting up with her would prevent that!" I screamed and he scoffed "Well it didn't did it. My mums in the hospital fighting for her life and it's all your fault." he snarled "Trust me James if I could go back I would let my mum take me okay! Even kill me in the shrieking shack!" I yell tears falling from my eyes. "If my mum dies it's all your fault! God why did you have to come into our lives! If you stayed out this wouldn't have happened!" he yelled and I shrugged "Well then I guess I'll leave! That's all I can do right now! Unless you want me to go find my mum so she can kill me!" I yell and he throws his hands up "Doesn't seem like a terrible option does it!" he yelled and I step back a little. "James." Lily whispered and he shook his head before storming up to the boys dorm, Lily hot on his tail. "He didn't mean it Y/N." Sirius said and I scoffed "I'm pretty sure he did. That's it I'll go find her." I say starting to walk to the portrait hole. Remus jumped in front of me and pulled me close. That's when I started bawling my eyes out. "Piggie don't leave. She'll be okay." he cooed. "He's right. It's my fault." I sob in his chest. He just stood there holding me and kissing my head every other minute. After 10 minutes I stepped back and shook my head "I can't be here." I whisper before I ran out of the room and to the Room of Requirements.
