chapter four

I pinned on my Prefects badge and slowly walked out of the Gryffindor common room. I sigh heavily and look out at the night sky and stared at the full moon. "Good luck Rem." I whispered and began going down a corridor. The halls were fairly quiet tonight which I was very thankful for, no people is the way I usually like it. I turned to walk into the west corridor and saw the Transfiguration door propped open. I slowly tip toe to it and swing the door open making to student who were making out jump. "Hello Malfoy, Narcissa what a nice evening right. How would McGonagall feel knowing two students were snogging in her classroom? How about Slughorn, his two top students getting caught by the Gryffindor prefect. I suggest you two leave because I'm not afraid to tell." I say an evil smile playing on my lips "Go to hell Potter." Narcissa sneered leaving the classroom with Malfoys hand in hers "Will do! Save me a seat by you Narcissa!" I yell and she flips me off. I chuckle to myself and continue to walk the corridors only barging in on three more couples. I checked my watch and saw it was 1:02 am and I smiled to myself. I hurry back to where all the Prefects meet and smile at the Ravenclaws "I cleared all the empty class rooms so you should be good. I heard Myrtle crying so you might go and see her and make sure how she is it makes her feel special." I say and they smile and nod "Thank you Y/N." the blonde girl said and I nodded "Go rest Y/N you look like death." the brunette said and I laughed "Thanks, have a nice night." I said walking away and they wave before walking away as well. I walked back towards the common room but stop when I hear someone yelling my name. "Y/N HELP US! HE PASSED OUT IN THE LAWN AND WE NEED HELP!" James yelled from across the hall. I nod pulling out my wand and start running towards the lawn. I get there and see Peter and Sirius standing above him and I push past them. "What the bloody hell happened?!" I asked see all the fresh cuts and blood everywhere "Well Peter accidentally hit his foot and then he went crazy." Sirius mumbled and I sighed in frustration. I muttered a few healing spells and his wounds closed up pretty tightly. I pull out a small goblet and a rag "Aguamenti." I mumble and the glass fills with water. I take the rag and get the end of it wet and start to clean the blood. "So I take it as a bad night." I mutter and they nod "I couldn't stop him. It was an awful sight." James said and Sirius nodded "I feel awful." Sirius said and I smiled softly up at the boys "It isn't any of your all's fault. Now help me get him to the hospital wing." I say and they nod. I drape Remus' left arm around my shoulder and James does the same with the right arm. We slowly but steadily take him to the hospital wing and my eyes are growing heavier every second. Sirius takes my spot and they sit him on the bed and Madam Pomfrey starts to get potions ready. I plop down on an empty bed and stare at the ceiling. "Tired?" James asked sitting in the chair beside me. "Extremely. Prefect duties weren't as bad as I thought though." I say and he nods. "How many making out couples?" he asked and I pulled the covers over me "Only four which shocked me." I mutter and he smiles "It would have been five if it weren't a full moon and I was with Lily." he said and I rolled my eyes "You disgust me, like extremely." I say turning to face away from him. I was now facing Sirius who smiled "It actually would have been six if Marlene didn't have a fever." he said and pulled the covers over my face "Go away you disgusting perverts." I growl and they burst out laughing until Madam Pomfrey shushed them. "I'm going to sleep, and just because you two are being nasty I'm stealing your blankets Pads and your favorite jumper Prongs." I say and their jaws dropped "It's only the second day." James said and I nodded "Thats called punishment." I say happily "The girls are going to think we cheated on them when they smell your perfume!" Sirius exclaimed and I shrugged "Should've thought about that boys." I say smiling before running to their dorm. I grab James jumper and put it on, then I steal Sirius favorite blanket and then jump in Remus bed. "It feels good being the only girl maurader." I mumble to myself before falling asleep.

"Wake her up." Sirius said and someone chuckled "No way, she's feisty in the morning." Remus said "I'm not waking her up." Peter said and I hear James sigh "I hate you all." he growled. All of a sudden the blanket was ripped off of me and the chill air hit my skin "WHAT THE BLOODY HELL JAMES!" I yell and they all flinch. "I'm sorry." he mumbled "God I needed sleep too, I lied about Prefect duties, I was exhausted afterwards." I growl and he sighs "I know." he mutters "Here take your jumper back." I say ripping it off to reveal my white tank top. I shove it in his chest and turn to Sirius "Take your blanket back." I mutter shoving it and then I turn to Remus who looks scared "You owe me loads of fire whiskey Lupin." I growl and he nods fast "Yes Ma'am." he said and I walked out of their dorm and up to mine. I change into one of my favorite tank tops and jeans before running back to their dorm. "I hate all of you right now." I mutter sitting on James bed. "They made me." James said and I chuckled "Yeah I know. Anyway how're you Rem?" I ask and he shrugs "Better, Madam Pomfrey gave me loads of potions but I'm still a little sore." he said and I nodded "You don't have to do duties tonight I'll cover again, it'll hurt your legs and we can't have that." I say resting my head on one of James pillows. "No Y/N I'll be fine-." he started but I waved my hand "Shut it. It's fine, I got it." I mumble. "You are a nice kid Y/N, wanna do a favor for me?" Sirius asked and I flipped him off "Still grouchy I see." James mumbled and I smacked him in the head. He rubbed the spot while the others laughed. "Are you sure? Like are you really sure?" Remus asked and I sighed "Yes Remus John Lupin I am sure." I say and he nods still looking upset. "Okay Y/N Euphemia Potter. I know you're going to regret it though." he said and I stiffen. I hate hearing my middle name, yes it may be my aunts but all kids of pure bloods inherit their parents first name as a middle name so when I hear my full name I think of my mum. "I erm I-I won't regret it." I mumble still thinking of my mum. "Your mum?" James whisper asked and I nodded. My mum left my father and I when he was attacked, she called him disgusting and she called me a mistake. I loved my mother so much and that night still haunts me. "I'm erm going to go." I say giving an awkward smile and walking to the door "Y/N did I say something?" Remus asked worried and I shook my head "No Remus. Don't stress, get some sleep. You three also." I say and they nod before I go hack to my room and lay in my bed for the rest of the day until Prefect duties.
