Volume 1 Ep. 9- Out Of The Bag

I sit on the window sill and gazed into the night. I watched a bird fly by. I held my hand out and imagine reaching out for it. I chuckle as I drop my hand onto my lap.

"If only I could be like you, birdie..." I muttered. "I wish to be free and fly anywhere I want..." I continued as I sighed. "The Vytal Festival is close... I wonder how I'm going to fight in it. Am I going to be put into a temporary team? Or would I be put  into the singles rounds?" I queried.

I continued to gaze at the night sky. I suddenly heard the sounds of running feet. I looked down and saw...

"Blake?" I queried as I quietly watched her. She looked up at the statue. My eyes slowly widen as she took off her ribbon. "She's a Faunus..." I breathed out. I saw a figure walk up behind her. It was another Faunus, but they had a monkey tail. Blake had cat ears.

I watched as they walked away from the statue. The monkey boy comforted Blake as they left the statue. 'It's time for bed, I guess...' I told myself as I got off of the window sill. I close the window and drew the curtains. I slid into my bed's covers and fell asleep.

'Who knew Blake was a Faunus...'

Vale; Cafe
Morning

"Thank you." I smiled at the waitress as she bows. I picked up the quaint cup and sip the coffee. I hissed in pain. "I should've waited..." I mumbled as I blew my cup.

"Y/N?" I heard a familiar voice call out to me. I turn to the voice and smiled. "Hey, Blake." I greeted her as I saw the monkey boy from before behind her. "Are you going to be a part of the Vytal Festival?" I asked the monkey Faunus.

"Well, yes, I am! My team and I are going to win the whole thing!" He confidently exclaimed. "Oh! I'm Sun Wukong by the way! Team leader of team SSSN of Haven Academy." He introduced himself. "I'm Y/N and a friend of Blake." I introduced.

I eyed them suspiciously. "Something tells me you guys just met..." I let out as Sun nervously laughs. "Jeez, Y/N! You're perspective, ain't ya?" He lets out. I noticed Blake being distant. 'Did it have to do with whatever happened yesterday?' I queried inwardly.

"Well, you guys can join me if you guys like." I insisted as I pulled a chair from a vacant table. "I insist," I added as I smiled at Blake. Sun nonchalantly took a seat as Blake took her time.

Both Blake and Sun ordered their drinks as everything became awkward. 'I guess I should try and ease the situation...' I told myself. "Blake, I know you're a Faunus like Sun over here." I confessed as Blake looked at me shocked.

"You have no proof." She let out. "You're hiding your Faunus ears under that bow," I told her as I pointed at the bow. Blake looked away guiltily. "Why hide it?" I asked her. "That's exactly what I was going to say!" Sun exclaimed.

Blake sighs. "I guess I can trust you, Y/N." Blake let out as she gave me a small smile. "You did defend Velvet from Cardin... and you also showed no hate towards our kind," Blake added as I nodded.

"Well, where should I begin...? Are you two familiar with the White Fang?" Blake started. "Of course! I don't think there's a Faunus on the planet who hasn't heard of them." Sun replied. Blake looks over at me as I silently nodded.

Blake sips out of her cup. "I was once a member of the White Fang." Blake confessed. Sun chokes on his drink. I looked over at him as he became cross-eyed. "Wait a minute, you were a member of the White Fang?!" Sun let out in disbelief.

"That's right. I was a member for most of my life, actually. You could almost say I was born into it..." Blake continued. "Back then, things were different. In the ashes of war, the White Fang was meant to be a symbol of peace and unity between Humans and the Faunus." She explained.
