Lisa hopped off the bus outside of her school, the beige- and slightly dirty- building looming over her. She slowly drags her feet across the pavement, tiredness evident on her face caused by her having to take on an extra shift to help her mother afford last month's rent.
Entering the building, Lisa made her way straight to her first-period class, English. She didn't bother looking for her two best friends, knowing they most likely already were in their classes as well.
Entering the mildly interesting classroom, Lisa plopped into her respective seat, lazily pulling her notebook out of her bag and flipping to a blank page. After the bell rang, Mr. Park stood from his desk and started class, writing words on the whiteboard as he went. Lisa was busy writing down what Mr. Park put on the board when she felt the sharp edge of a bald-up piece of paper hit her in the back of the head. She rubbed her head as she picked up the crumpled paper, already knowing who threw it. And she was right, after Lisa had quietly uncrumpled the paper on her desk and read Seulgi's decent handwriting.
Why do you look like the walking dead?
Quickly Lisa scribbled a quick, 'Extra shift' before tossing the crumpled paper back to the ravenette when the teacher wasn't looking.
"Miss. Manobon, it would be greatly appreciated if you would stop throwing notes across my classroom, and if you wish to do so, please do a better job of hiding it," Mr. Park would have seemed intimidating if it wasn't for the slight upturn of his lips. Mr. Park was the favorite teacher among all the staff, mostly because he made learning fun and didn't scold students as other teachers did.
"Of course, Mr. Park," Lisa replied with a sheepish smile.

Lisa entered the lunchroom and slowly made her way to the lunch line, trying to avoid getting knocked over by rowdy boys. After making her way through the line and getting some half-decent food she made her way to her best friends, who were sitting in at their regular table. As she neared the table, she could hear Jisoo and Seulgi bicker about some movie character.
"You know I'm right!" Jisoo yelled, throwing a carrot at the ravenette.
Seulgi threw the carrot back at Jisoo, "Absolutely not! You're so wrong it hurts!"
Lisa quietly placed her food tray on the table, hoping not to be drawn into the conversation, but, of course, luck was not on her side. Whatever the two were arguing about was causing multiple people to look their way, some glaring while others just looked annoyed.
"Who do you agree with?"
"...What are you two arguing about?" Lisa asked, her mouth full with one of her own carrots.
"Jisoo is claiming Shrek is the best movie!" Seulgi huffs.
"And I'm right!"
"I'm not getting into this, you guys can handle this," Lisa stated, continuing to eat her lunch.
"So, what are our plans this weekend? This is mine and Seulgi's last year as high schoolers. We should live every minute to the fullest," Jisoo excitedly chirped, "Let's go to Lisa's house!"
Lisa swore Jisoo had a short attention span, she often got distracted from a task or topic and normally her friends would help put her back on track but Lisa, nor Seulgi wan't to go back to talking about Shrek.
"I'm cool with that," Lisa shrugged, "My moms been asking when you guys are going to come over again," Lisa looked around the table feeling like she was missing something when she realized, "Where's Irene?"
"Are you just now noticing my girlfriend is missing? Wow, thanks, Lalisa," Seulgi playfully glared at the latter, "She said she was going to have lunch in the library so she could do some extra studying. In fact, I told her I would join her when I was done here, so this is where I say my goodbye ladies, I shall see you, Jisoo, in fifth period," The ravenette playfully winked at the purple-haired girl.
