I woke up to the morning sun shining right down on my face. I tried shielding my eyes, but it wasn't really doing much. I didn't think the sun would be this bright in my room. As my eyes adjusted I finally realized there is something wrong with this picture. I am looking up at the sky and there is no sky in my bedroom.
I immediately shot up and looked around. My mind was instantly racing with questions. How was I outside? How did I get here? Where am I? Why was I sleeping on a bench? Was I kidnapped? How do I get home? I was starting to hyperventilate a bit, and the fear was starting to creep up on me. I frantically looked around at my surroundings and noticed I was on a bench in a town square. There were green bushes around me and buildings all over. There also was a giant marketplace to my left that seemed to be bustling with vendors and customers.
I didn't know where I was at all, but I felt like I've seen this place before. I couldn't shake the weird feeling I got. I had to ignore it though for the time being because I needed to find my phone and figure out what situation I had gotten myself into. I frantically started searching for my phone and realized there was a bag on the bench where I woke up. It was a satchel bag, and I didn't recognize it at all. Then something peaked my attention. Underneath the bench was a case and I got down on my knees to grab it. It looked familiar and when I pulled it out from underneath the bench I was shocked.
It was my violin! I hugged the case to my chest and quickly opened the case to make sure my violin was okay. It seemed to be fine, but this just left more questions swirling around in my mind. I felt like screaming out in frustration because I didn't know what was going on. I stood back up and swung the case on my back. I then grabbed the satchel and turned it upside down. I dumped the contents on the bench not even caring what was inside at this point. My phone plopped out alongside a bunch of other items.
I grabbed it and checked the date first before anything. It was December 17th. That means it has only been overnight because yesterday was the 16th. For some strange reason I can't remember anything after going to bed. I remember laying down to sleep and then I woke up here. Did someone drug me and brought my body here? No, that wouldn't make sense because then why would they leave me here.
I had no notifications of missed phone calls or messages from parents, so I don't think anything bad happened. Now I need to find out where I am, so I can figure out how to get home. I also need to call my parents and tell them what happened. I want to call the police, but I have nothing that would warrant a concern because I don't even know what happened.
I unlocked my phone and headed to a GPS to find out where I am, but it didn't work. The app wouldn't load. I had no service in this town. I looked at the WIFI settings to see if there was a possible connection anywhere, but nothing came up. Well just my luck. I don't know where I'm at, and I can't even call anyone to come get me either! I breathed deeply to calm myself and figure out what to do now.
I turned to look at the satchel and figured I would keep it. I mean my phone was in it, and I may not recognize the bag, but this might have a clue about how I ended up here. I decided to look through the contents that I took out of the bag. There were a music folder, a first aid kit, and three envelopes. I quickly grabbed one and went to open it, except it wouldn't open. I physically couldn't open the envelope. That's weird. Maybe the glue was just really strong. I was confused and so I tried ripping the corner. It still didn't work. What is wrong with this envelope? I then tried to rip it in half, but to no avail it didn't work. Am I this weak? I kept on pulling and trying to cut it, but it wouldn't budge. This envelope was indestructible.
Why do weird things keep happening to me? I sighed and decided to try the other two envelopes. Please work! I put my thumb underneath the flap, and it started to open. Yes! Finally, it worked! I opened it and inside to my disappointment was money. I mean money is great and all, but I want answers. As I looked closer, I realized this wasn't American currency. This is a foreign currency, and I didn't recognize it at all. I am guessing it's for this town, which is good. I can finally figure out where I am and get out of here.
I grabbed the last one and braced for it not to open, but it opened just like the second one. Inside was a letter and a folded piece of paper. I grabbed the letter and started to read.
Dear Rosemary,
You are probably full of questions right now, but I assure you they will be answered in due time. You just have to trust me, until the end. I assume you finally woke up and found yourself on the bench in some random place. Well, it's not random. You actually know this place because you are in Zaban City. Welcome to the world of Hunter x Hunter.
I am speechless. The letter slipped through my hands to the floor. So many thoughts and emotions were flooding my body that I just sat there shocked. I sat there for a couple of minutes trying to process everything going through my head. I don't understand. How is this possible? This doesn't make sense. Is someone messing with me? I started getting angry at the thought of someone playing a harsh prank on me. Wait, that wouldn't make sense either. I don't have any friends, and it wouldn't make sense that anyone would go to such great lengths for a prank like this. Now I understand why this place felt so familiar. This is where the Hunter Exam is located. The restaurant where you are supposed to enter to get there is literally right in this square. I got to be dreaming. There is no way this could happen. I pinched myself hard to test it. Nope this isn't a dream. I am actually in the world of Hunter x Hunter.
"My wish came true!" I excitedly squealed. I started jumping up and down because I was just trembling with excitement. Then I noticed some people were looking at me, so I sat back down before I embarrassed myself further. I then picked up the letter and continued reading.
Now I can't tell you how you are here and why, but in due time you will find your answers. You also can't go back home either, until you find these answers. Currently, time is running the same in your world as it is in this world. Also, as of right now you are considered missing in your world due to your absence.
Oh no. My parents! What am I going to do? They are going to think I got kidnapped or died. I almost forgot I have school as well. I got into the music program and if I am a no show I will get kicked out. This is not good. I have to get back soon. If being here means missing out in my world then I don't want to be here. I can't sacrifice my family and my dreams for my desires. That would be selfish of me. But now, I don't know what to do. It says I can't go back till I find the answers to these questions. I don't even know how long that will take. I am starting to freak out now. I got to finish this letter and figure it out.
You won't be able to communicate with anyone in your world because your cell phone won't work here, so I suggest you buy a new one. I gave you about fifteen thousand dollars worth of Jenny in the other envelope to use at your disposal, so use sparingly. Now onto the real business. I will give you some information that I highly suggest you keep in your mind and should follow. Right now you currently know all future events that are about to take place in this time. Be careful with this knowledge. It is currently December 17th which is a month away before the Hunter Exam that takes place on January 7th. This is the Hunter Exam that Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio take. Here's a hint for you. You should take the Hunter Exam. You have a couple of advantages, so be sure to use it wisely. Now that's all I can say, for now, so good luck!
P.S. I almost forgot to tell you; be sure not to die because you will die in real life.As I finished reading the letter, it started to become warm and then hot to touch. I abruptly dropped it on the ground and watched as the letter started to disintegrate. "No!" I yelled. I tried to grab it, but there was nothing left for me to grab. Why did it do that? This instantly reminded me of the tape Ging left for Gon. The person who left me this letter must have used Nen so that the letter would destroy itself. I really needed that letter to find out who wrote it and now it's gone. At least I remembered the info they gave me. I wonder who wrote this letter, though. There was no name signed at the bottom, and I couldn't tell if the handwriting was of a guy or a girl. Whoever they are, they must have the answers I'm seeking. They are going to be my one-way ticket back home.
Now what about the other envelope. It obviously won't open. I am guessing this is also like how the box wouldn't open until Gon used Nen. Does it have to be my Nen that opens it or the person who wrote it? It could provide more answers in there. It is possible it will tell me the location of the mysterious person who wrote the letter. Whatever it is I must keep it safe for now, until I learn Nen.
I must find this person!
