Chapter 6

It turns out this was going to be harder than I thought. I forgot as soon as they walked in and received their badge numbers that Tonpa started to talk to them. I will have to wait until Tonpa mentions the juice and then I'll pop into the conversation. That way I can meet them and get rid of the poisoned juice. I watched as Tonpa was explaining how things work and pointing out certain people who were retaking the exam. Then that's when the screaming started.

Everyone looked over and there was that poor man who bumped into Hisoka. I wish he never bumped into him because now his arms are gone. I looked away and sighed as Hisoka began to speak.

"My. How unusual? Seems this poor man's arms have turned into flower petals," he teased. His amber eyes reflected mischief and danger. He raised his arms outwards and said, "Now you see them, now you don't." Everyone was shocked and started to back away from him scared for their own lives. "You should be more careful. And do apologize if you bump into someone." He then turned and walked away with a devilish smirk on his face.

After that spectacle, I knew it was time to make my move. Tonpa would be offering the juice to the three. I started to step forward, but I felt myself freeze after the first step. I can't do this. What if everything backfires? What if they don't want to be my friend? I am so nervous right now. I've never done this. I felt so confident before, but now that I have to actually do it I feel so scared. I don't want to admit it, but I am scared of being rejected. If I don't do this now though then I'll never work up the guts to do it later. I just need to do it. I need to change how I am and stop being stuck in the past. Okay! Here I go. I started to walk forward and watched for when Tonpa would give them the juice.

"Oh! I almost forgot!" Tonpa said as he reached into his bag. I could feel myself shaking, but it's now or never. Now's the chance to introduce myself.

"Hey, Tonpa! I think I am ready to toast to our new friendship!" I said to him as I walked over to where they were. I gave a big smile towards Tonpa that way he didn't suspect anything.

"Oh! Rosemary I almost forgot. That would be a good time right now because I just made some new friends." he explained. I turned to look towards the three like I was curious as to who they are.

"This is Gon, Leorio, and Kurapika. They are rookies like you." I approached them and I was so shocked that this was actually happening. It feels like I am barely registering that I am actually in the world of Hunter x Hunter and that I am living my dream.

"Hello, my name is Rosemary. Nice to meet you!" I reached out to shake Gon's hand first.

"Hello! I'm Gon," he exclaimed with a huge smile on his face. Gon is just too adorable and innocent, regardless of what happened in the Chimera Ant Arc. I shook his hand and turned towards Kurapika.

"Kurapika, nice to meet you," he said seriously while shaking my hand. I turned to Leorio who was blushing while looking at me. I wanted to facepalm because I forgot he was such a womanizer.

"I'm Leorio. A pleasure to meet you," he suggestively said. I wanted to smack him as I shook his hand, but I refrained from doing so.

Tonpa then grabbed the juice cans and held it to the trio. "Now that introductions are out the way. Let's toast to our new friendship!

"Hey, thanks! Yeah, don't mind if I do!" Leorio said. "I was dying of thirst." He grabbed the can and the others as well. They thanked him and proceeded to drink it. I opened mine and was waiting until Gon tried it out. As soon as Gon took a sip he let it run out of his mouth.

"I think this juice might've gone bad, Mr. Tonpa. It tastes funny!" Leorio immediately spits his juice out everywhere.

"Seriously! That was a close call!" Leorio yelled while wiping his mouth. Tonpa was starting to sweat a bit and he immediately got down on his knees apologizing. Gon being the innocent one he reassured Tonpa that he didn't know the juice was bad, so it's okay. I just wanted to punch Tonpa for trying to trick them, but I just had to play along. So I poured mine out just like Kurapika did. Gon then started explaining that he knew when things were bad due to him trying all the plants on Whale Island. Tonpa was nervous now and his cue to leave should be happening now.
