kai... (the hollow kai x adam)

part eight: finale

(A/N AH GUYS ITS THE END STRAP IN! nothing interesting happens i'm just sad it's over, and yeah i know this is short but i want to focus on the short stories more.)

Kai opened his eyes slowly and smiled, nuzzling closer to Adam. His mom was out of town and Adam had spent the night. He closed his eyes and focused on how warm his boyfriend was, not wanting to see the sunlight that was pouring into his room.

After a few minutes he felt Adam yawn and start to stretch, sitting up after he was done. 'Aw darn' Kai thought, not wanting to get up and stop cuddling. He opened his eyes and looked up at Adam who was smiling down at him.

"Good morning cutie" Adam said while ruffing Kai's hair around with his hand. "Hey wait!" Kai said while giggling and pushing the other boys hand away.

They laughed and got up, putting on clothes to start the day. When Kai turned around he couldn't help but "aweeee" when he saw Adam had found and put on his hoodie.

"What, it smells like you" Adam said bringing the hoodie collar up to his nose and sniffing it. Kai just playfully rolled his eyes and they went downstairs.

After eating and cleaning up their mess in the kitchen, they finished getting ready for the day (doing their hair and etc.) before going out to the pavilion in Kai's yard.

"So how are you feeling with everything that happened"? Kai burrowed his brows and brought his hand to his chin as he thought of an answer.

"Actually... really happy! My dad is finally where he belongs, my mom and I are finally free, everything is really the same except my dads gone and I get treated the way a kid should be..." Kai paused to look into Adam's eyes before continuing.

"And the best part, I had you through it all. None of these good things would have happened if you hadn't spoken up to my parents or encouraged me to talk to police".

He took Adam's hand and kissed his cheek. "I love you. You are the most amazing friend in the world, and somehow an even better boyfriend".

Adam started to tear up but quickly wiped the water away. "Thank you. I love you too, and I will always be here for you, whether you want me here or not".

Adam chuckled at his ending but stopped when he felt Kai's lips on his. Kai pulled away and put a hand on Adam's cheek. "I'll always want you with me".

They kissed again before resting their heads against each other's and intertwining their fingers. Huge grins spread across their face and Adam picked up Kai, baby style, and carried him inside, both laughing, until they made out once again.
