Dear bully mine

chapter 6

Sarah's POV

"Sean Flynn!" the judge boomed "you have been sent here for the murder of your mother at your own hand, do you deny it or are you guilty?" Sean bowed his head in shame "I feel guilty" I was angry "what's he doing?" I asked myself "he letting himself get arrested!".

As the judge and Sean's lawyer started talking, I looked at Sean, he quickly turned his head towards me and nodded before turning back to the judge "jury, do you pronounce this boy innocent or guilty?" the judge asked, the jury shouted "GUILTY! " and that's when I stood up.

"Objection your honour!" I said aloud "I have some shocking evidence that Sean wasn't the one who killed his mom, he tried to kill his stepdad but that wasn't his fault, Sean was trying to save his mom from his stepdad, who was really the one who killed her.".

I gave a security guard the tape and the other security guard pushed a tv on a trolley into the room and the tape was pushed into the player, as the footage played, everyone was shocked, and once it had finished, the judge started talking again.

"Sean, you tried to kill someone, but you did it to save another, so despite the fact that you committed murder, you did it in the act of heroism, so I pronounce you as innocent" the judge banged his gannon and everyone including me, stood up and applauded.

When everyone headed out of the big room, Sean came up to me and said "you saved me", he suddenly smiled, but he frowned again "thank you, but it still doesn't change the fact that you told everyone that we were a couple" he walked off, but for a moment I could see regret in his eyes.

Hector and I drove back to the house, despite Sean still not forgiving me, I was so happy that I saved him from being sentenced to jail, I would find out who truly let out the secret tomorrow, I was determined to find out the truth.

The next morning

I went out for a walk through the street and I heard a familiar voice say "hey Sarah?" I turned my head and saw Brad walk towards me " I need to confess something" he said, I nodded in confusion and said "okay....".

"I was the one who told everyone that you and Sean are a couple, I overheard you talking while I was walking to school, at the time I was so happy because that meant that Sean was changing into the person he used to be before you came to Prim rose high, but I've been feeling so guilty after telling everyone, so I thought I would get it off my chest.".

I stared at Brad in shock, my heart was beating fast, and suddenly I felt heat on my face "you ASSHOLE!" I shouted "SEAN HATES ME NOW BECAUSE OF YOU! AND JUST SO YOU KNOW, YOU MADE IT WORSE, HE MIGHT NOT BE A BULLY ANYMORE BUT HE PROBABLY HATES ME NOW!".

Brad bowed his head "I know, I didn't know it was supposed to be a secret, I'll tell him" suddenly we heard a voice from behind us say "you don't need to, I already know" we turned to see Sean who was fuming "why would you tell everyone?!" He shouted " I thought we were friends".

"But how did you know?" I asked, "well, I figured it out when I called my other friend, I told him that you told everyone" he looked at me when he said that last part "but he said that it wasn't Sarah who did it, I thought about who else could possibly know about our relationship, then I realized that, that day when we were talking, you were walking right behind us" he looked at Brad.

"I'm sorry" Brad said "I just wanted everyone to know that you were changing, and by that I don't mean how much your growing" Sean chuckled, suddenly I saw Aya and Rebecca walking towards us and stand beside me "what's going on?" Aya whispered.

"I'll explain later" I whispered back "no" said Sean "jokes won't help, and I know that you're plotting something "I would be if I was in a graveyard" Brad said, Sean laughed again, what is Brad doing? I thought to myself.

"No, stop it, jokes are only making this situation worse!" Sean said while trying not to laugh "well, my jokes can't be as worse as what Hollywood movies are giving us nowadays" Sean laughed in uproar "hey Sean, what makes an octopus laugh?" Brad asked "no don't!" Sean pleaded through laughter, "TENTICLES!".

That made Sean burst out into laughter, when he stopped he said "what just happened?" He asked "you laughed for the first time in 5 years my friend" Brad said, "how can you even call me your friend? I've been such a monster, what I've done is monstrous.".

"What just happened?" I asked, Brad turned to me and said "Sean hasn't laughed like this in forever, and as his friend I knew that to stop his heart from becoming dark again, jokes would cure his sadness and better for the people around him, he could never resist my jokes, goodness knows why I didn't do this before".

Brad walked over to Sean and Rebecca said "so, does that mean that he isn't a bully anymore?" I turned to Rebecca and said " yeah" then I looked at Sean who was crying and Brad was saying "it's okay bro, just let it out" "I think he's alright now" I said.

Rebecca and I walked to the park and Sean went to his new home, apparently after his mother died, and his stepdad disappeared with MY mom, he had been sent to a care home, so now he was spending his time on his own, thinking about how he had treated everyone he was nice to.

Rebecca and I spent the whole day in the park, we ate ice cream and rested on a park bench "so what do you see in Sean?" Rebecca asked, I looked at her and said "well, I guess I've always seen good in him, and now he's not the monster, not the bully, he's almost his old self again".

Rebecca nodded "well, I guess I thought the same thing deep down, but now I guess he's different, it's like you say, he isn't a monster anymore, that's long gone now", I sighed and sat back on the bench "he certainly has changed, thanks to us.".

We stood up and started walking off, I wanted to see Sean again, but I thought it was best to leave him alone for now.
