Sarah's POV

"Sarah, Sarah!" I woke up in my classroom to hear my teacher call my name, Mrs Burns looked angry "did you even listen to what I was saying?!" She demanded "no Miss, sorry" the teacher sighed, we were supposed to learn about the stories from greek legends, and I had fallen asleep because I had done my homework last night and didn't go to sleep till 11:00pm.

"Alright" said Mrs Burns "what did Zus do to his father after he ran away from home? Sean?" I turned to see that Sean Flynn had put his hand up "he poisoned him" said Sean, Sean was intelligent but a bully, for some strange reason though, he never bullied me.

Sean looked over at me and smiled, it wasn't a smirk though like any bully would give if someone like me got an answer wrong, he just smiled at me as if to say, "better luck next time" and looked to the teacher "good" said Mrs Burns.

After that lesson I went to meet my friend Felicia "hi Sarah, what's up, you look like something weird just happened" I looked up and smiled "it's just Sean, I've noticed that even though he bullies others, he doesn't seam to bully me, nor any other female in this school for that matter", Felicia looked confused "hmm, that is confusing, maybe he likes you?".

I was blushing but I laughed "me? Why would he like me?" Little did I know, our headmistress was listening, later after I had finished my lunch, I heard the headmistress' voice over the loudspeaker "can Sarah Payton come to my office please!".

I gulped as I walked to the headmistress' office, was I in trouble for sleeping in class? I walked towards the door of the headmistress' office and opened it, I could see that the headmistress was smiling "ah, come in" she said brightly.

I sat down on a chair in front of Miss Simmons' desk "so, what am I doing here?" I asked, Miss Simmons coughed slightly and said,"well Sarach, you know Sean Flynn right? " I nodded "he's the school bully yes?" I nodded " and yet he doesn't bully you? Joe any of the other female students?" I shook my head when Miss Simmons said this.

"Sarah, I want you to do something for me" said Miss Simmons "I want you to study Sean, spend time with him for an entire term, I want you to find out why Sean is the way he is, and why he bullies everyone except for you" i nodded "yes Headmistress, I will" I stood up from the chair "good, you may leave my office now" Miss Simmons said calmly.

When I left the office I saw Sean, I heard him say "what did you just call me?" I walked towards Sean and tapped him on the shoulder, he turned towards me angrily, but his face softened when he was me, "Sean, can we talk?" I saw a boy with ginger hair behind him, then I turned back to Sean's attention.

I was expecting him to hit me or shout at me at least, but he only said, "what about?" I gulped before speaking "the headmistress wants me to spend some time with you you for the whole term" Sean didn't say anything at first, I thought I saw a bit of surprise, but then Sean frowned.

"Why would you want to spend time with me? Because you aren't afraid of me? Yeah right" he grumbled and then he walked off "thank you" the ginger boy said "you're welcome" I said without looking at the boy, so I followed Sean "wait!" I exclaimed.

Sean groaned and turned to face me "what?!" He asked in a loud voice "please can we hang out? I have to hang out with you, listen, I want to help you" Sean rolled his eyes "help me? With what? Redeeming myself? Fine, I'll let you hang out with me, but just for the tearm, and if you don't redeem me, you can leave me alone, got it?".

He held out his hand and I shook it "deal" I said, I secretly hoped that I would redeem Sean, we both walked to our next class which was Maths and instead of sitting next to my friend Brian as usual, I sat next to Sean "Why are you sitting next to me?" He asked, I didn't say anything because  the Maths teacher Mr Walliams came in.

After Maths, it was lunch time, I got myself some pasta and went to sit with my friends, "oh look it's Sean" Aya groaned, I didn't say anything but when I saw Sean I waved at him and called out "hey Sean! I'm over here, wanna sit with us?" Sean was hesitant at first but walked over and sat in the middle of me and Aya.

"Why is he sitting with us?" Aya whispered while looking at me, I pressed my finger on my lips and said "shh", Aya was really confused but she didn't say anything, I looked at Sean and hesitated before asking "Why do you only bully the boys here?" Sean looked at me with a "huh?".

"Why don't you bully the girls here?" I continued " I've noticed that you only bully the boys here, never the girls, not even me", Sean frowned "some things aren't meant to be said" then he went back to eating, I then saw Sean's best friend Brad sit at another table, he was pale with black hair, and he was really skinny, I thought after lunch I would talk to him at break time.

After lunch, I didn't see Sean, but I saw Brad in the break-area so I went over to talk to him, Brad wasn't like Sean, he wasn't a bully, he was nice, and kind, "hi Brad!" I called, Brad turned his head and smiled at me, "hi Sarah, what do you need?" I took a deep breath "you're Sean's best friend, right?" Brad nodded "can you tell me about him? What was he like before I came here?" I was a recent student and had only been in Prim-rose High for a month.

Suddenly Brad looked serious "I don't know much, he's never really talked to me about it, but what I do know is this, before you came to this school, Sean used to be the nicest student in Prim-rose high, kind even, but one day something changed in him, he became more angry, he stopped talking to me he became a bully....".
