Chapter 14

Harry has been back at work for a little over a month now and his main focus has been to provide the outfits for Kim and Lady Gaga. It is finally MET Gala night and he has been busy since the morning.  The thing with the night of the event is that everything that can go wrong, will go wrong somehow. 

First he forgot his phone at home and it has been hell trying to co-ordinate all the different arrivals and fittings without direct contact numbers, he has had to call at least 5 people just to get through to Kim's personal assistant because he was dumb enough to only save her direct number on his cellphone. Driving back home was not an option either because he stays an hour away from the studio additionally he does not remember where he put his car keys and everyone in the studio is running around like headless chickens so there is literally no one to send to his house. Luckily Zayn found his phone and brought it to the studio albeit him complaining about it going off non stop and disturbing his work. Harry is surprised how Zayn could have heard the ringing through all that noise that he calls work, those video games have some of the most annoying sounds he's ever heard. 

He is thankful to Zayn for bringing the phone, even though he will never admit it to Zayn because today is a big day. He has multiple missed calls from both Lady Gaga's team and Kim's team and a few messages of support and well wishes from family and friends. A message from Zileh and Safaa brings a wide smile to his face but that doesn't last long because Lady Gaga calls at that exact moment. He explains how he forgot his phone and being that he is pregnant, she understands and confirms her arrival time for the MET gala red carpet. Lady Gaga had her final fitting yesterday already and the team just has to iron her many outfits and pack up so the phone call goes by quickly.

Harry's major headache is Kim Kardashian. She missed her last three scheduled fittings because of her crazy schedule and her "absolute trust in Harry's impeccable skills". Harry normally insists on three different fittings once the garment is done to finalise everything before the event because he is a perfectionist but they now have to fit all that into one day. At least her dress did not have a lot of drama when compared to Lady Gaga's but it took forever to re-shine all the jewels on the dress and have it fitted the way that she wanted. It didn't help at all that her hips got wider and she just forgot to mention that. It is just fortunate that Harry always carries a meter of whatever material is used on a garment around with him on the day of the event. Once the fitting is done, Kim is off to do her nails, make up and hair and they set a time to meet at the event for Harry to assist her in getting ready. After some minor adjustments, her dress is packed up and the team prepares to go to the venue for the event. It is only now that Harry realises that dressing two big stars on the same day at a 3 months pregnancy was a horrible idea. All the drama of the day is causing him morning sickness which he has always been able to maintain with ginger but that is not working today.

Harry is in the bathroom spilling his guts when he hears Jeff's loud voice swearing profusely. Harry already knows that whatever happened is horrible because Jeff is the calmest person ever. He walks out of the bathroom shoulders slouching and dragging his feet. "What now" he says without looking up, rubbing the bridge between his eyes. "This fucken intern burned Gaga's head bow while gawking at Kim" Jeff is fuming and pacing as he answers Harry. He turns around to look at the intern again and shouts out "The fuck you work at a fashion house for if you still get star struck?!. Fuck! Get the fuck out of my sight before I really lose it". The poor intern scurries off to the bathroom in tears and Jeff could not be bothered even as Harry looks at him with his scolding face. "Jeff you need to stay calm. I do not want to lose my baby so I need you to be my calmness. I need positive energy only okay?" He is already making his way to the pink fabric on the cutting table as he scolds Jeff. Jeff looks embarrassed as he responds "Yes Harry" and makes his way to the bathrooms to talk to the intern. It takes Harry two full hours to complete the bow and iron it himself before they all leave the studio.
