Months passed. And everything went by faster than anyone would expect.

Young Joon is more focused into his work, and his relationship with Mi Jung have been closer than they used to. People at work would see them walking to the parking lot, or maybe go to lunch. This happens quite frequent, rumor says as it swirl around them.

Young Ji, on the other hand, is still unconscious from her coma. For who knows how long will she keep on laying on the hospital bed. Jin Woo couldn't do anything but to wait. Waiting for any moment she would open her eyes, and be by his side again.

And today, same as ever, Jin Woo is sitting beside the bed, tending her skin with a wet cloth to clean her.

"I can wait for you as long as I can, just to see you wake up, darling." Jin Woo mutters, and gaze at her idle closed eyes for a moment, as if Young Ji could hear what he's saying.

It's always like this. He would talk to her as if they are having a pleasant conversation, the only thing is, Young Ji doesn't respond. But to Jin Woo, she "listens".

Just when he said those words, he could feel her fingers moved slightly a second, made him jolted up in surprise.

"Young Ji...?" he called out.

Then, her fingers move quite flexibly. Her gesture freaks him a bit that he screams frantically for doctors and nurses to come, and almost tripped himself at the doorway.

"Miss, can you hear me?" the doctor starts to interact with her while Jin Woo is behind him, watching her if she's responding.

Then, her eyelids move, and slowly opens. Her eyes swifts left and right, figuring out where she is.

"Young Joon...?" she called out softly, her voice are soft, a bit weak. Jin Woo leans close to her as he felt misheard of her calling, but later he dismissed the thought, feeling content, acknowledged that she might have said his name.

"You're awake, dear! I'm so happy that you've awaken." Jin Woo exclaims in delight as the doctor signals the nurses beside him to leave them alone.

"What happened to me? Why am I here?"

"You were caught on an accident, and you fell into coma."

"For how long?"

"...Months." Jin Woo replied, recalling back the accident that had happened, that almost took her life.

Worry was written fully on his face as he filled her up with what had happened that day. Then, he holds firm of her hand.

"This time, I will protect you from any harm. I promise you." he uttered as serious as ever.

Young Ji's brows furrowed as she looks at him.

Days later after being discharged at the hospital, Young Ji is back home with her fiancé. Still wasn't used to be there since she had been staying at Young Joon's house long enough that she was dismissed by the home owner.

But these days, without Jin Woo noticing, she seems to be distancing herself, not really feeling want to be near her fiancé. Some days, she would just lie on the bed until afternoon. Other times, she would be looking far to her thought wherever she's sitting.

Up until that few days, Jin Woo finally saw her abnormal behavior, he cautiously approach her, not wanting to cross her or offend her, given that she had just been recovering.

"Hey, penny of your thoughts?" asked Jin Woo almost hesitated to smooth her back. When he does, she didn't jerk away, but just let him do so.
