I was on a rollercoaster. Up, up, up. To the top of the highest drop. Only a few more meters. I could feel the find in my hair and the smile growing on my face, ready to be turned into a shriek of excitement.

But.

It didn't. The person sitting next to me wasn't holding on to the bar in front of him, nor was he wearing his seatbelt. "Hey!" I screamed to him, "hey! Put on your buckle!" He didn't listen to me. We were almost at the top. "PUT ON YOUR BUCKLE!" I screamed louder, out of pure terror. He continued staring straight ahead. I did what I had to do. I leaned over quickly to grab his seatbelt but he unbuckled mine too and pushed his away. "What are you doing!?" I leaned farther to get his buckle.

But he pushed me. Off the rollercoaster. falling to my death. Screaming. I could see the rollercoaster speeding down the rails, and the man who pushed me. He was staring at me. Even from far I could tell who he was. "Dad... " I screamed. He still didn't say anything. He just looked like a ghost.

I fell... faster... faster... the ground was getting closer. Surprisingly, I didn't feel anything, except confusion.

The air got warmer, and my back connected with the hard earth...

Sweat. That was the first thing I felt when I woke up. Warm sweat all over my body, mostly on my forehead. My breathing was heavy, and I looked around my room. Same drab yellow walls, same dresser, and all very real. I checked my phone. 2:37 P.M. I unlocked my phone and just looked at it. I had my mother's number. She said to use it whenever I needed her, and I think she meant it. I guess I need her right now. It was a girl problem sort of, after all.

I decided to wait until a reasonable time to call her, because I didn't want to bother her. That, and I was scared and nervous. I put my phone back on the table and tried to close my eyes, and I slept.

I woke up with only two things in my head. Nick, and calling my mom. With shaking fingers, I picked up the phone and dialed my mom. I could hear my heart beating. In my chest and in my head, thumpthump, thumpthump

It was ringing forever. Then I heard a click, and a "Hello?"

Oh no, it was happening. It was HAPPENING. "H-Hello?"

"Who is this?"

"It's- This is Connie."
