Stranded

Chapter One

"Hello and welcome everyone! This is your captain speaking. I'm very glad you could join us on this cruise and I hope you find it amazing and wonderful much like the previous passengers have. Dinner will be served at 7pm on the main deck, I'm looking forward to meeting you all! Till then please enjoy the activities set up and well relax, that's what you're here for isn't it?" The captain chuckled through the speakers.

"Sounds like a twat to me," Vesper muttered.

"Shut up, he seems cheerful and nice," Riley, the younger Brit, said, slapping her friend's shoulder.

"Nope, I think I'm gonna side with Ves on this one. He does sound like a wanker." Xander stated.

"I'm beginning to regret teaching you lot British slang," Ashley, the other British girl, sighed. The twins, Owyn and Reese, broke out into a fit of giggles.

Six girls from all over the world. They were finally brought together after years of texting and videocalls. The twins had flown from Indonesia to America and the two British girls had to fly in from England, but it was worth it, they were all together, and spending the weekend on a cruise ship, sailing in the middle of nowhere, no less.

Owyn rubbed sunscreen into her sister's back as she read 'Alice in Wonderland'. Riley sat next to them, soaking in the sun and Xander next to her, sitting in her deckchair in a jumper and sweats, the girl hated being dangerously prone to sunburn. The older Brit, Ashley, and Vesper splashed around in the pool. More people seemed to be joining the deck now that everyone had seemed to have settled in and unpacked. There were about 200 passengers all together.

"Alright I'm going to the toilet, be right back." Xander announced for only Owyn to hear, for Riley was daydreaming, as usual, and Reese engrossed in her novel.

By the time she got back however, someone was in her seat, granted the girl who sat in the deck chair was beautiful, but she was still sitting where Xander was.

"Er excuse me, I was sitting there," Xander said as politely as she could. The girl opened her eyes to reveal bright green orbs that bore straight into Xander's blue ones. Riley, Owyn and Reese were now paying full attention.

"Sorry, I don't think I see your name on it," The green-eyed girl replied sourly. Xander scoffed at her.

"You do not want to start this with me," Xander warned. By now, Ashley and Vesper had noticed something was wrong too, thus they wrapped towels around themselves and walked over to the scene.

"What's going on?" whispered Ashley to the twins.

"Just watch," they replied in unison, excitement evident in their voice. The girl in the chair and Xander bickered back and forth until a voice louder than both of theirs rang out.

"Danielle Nicole!" A woman yelled, "Stop being a pain and give the poor girl her chair back."

"But Christina-"

"No buts, besides you still haven't unpacked." Christina said, a hand on her hip.

"Yeah go listen to your mom," Xander said as Dani got up to match her height. Dani moved closer to Xander, their faces only inches apart.

"She's my sister," was all Dani said before she was walking away.

"Sorry about that," Christina apologized, "teenage angst, you know?"

"Oh, trust me I know," Vesper replied moving in front of the group, "Hi I'm Vesper."

"Cool name, I'm Christina, nice to meet you," Christina introduced, "So are all of you guys friends or" She trailed off.
