It was pitch black now. Nothing but the shine of the moon lit up the path that Lisa, Lauren, Nate, Mo and Dani walked on. Nate and Lauren walked ahead, Nate carrying Katherine's still body. Lauren cried silently as she walked beside him. Dani trudged tiredly a little bit behind them, she felt empty, she still hadn't said a word. Mo walked beside her, a question bugging his mind, but he didn't think it was the right time to ask. Lisa walked behind the group, angry tears spilling from her eyes, as she stared at the ground, looking up occasionally to check on her youngest sister. Watching someone die, your sister no less, was bound to take a toll on you.

"I'm sorry I know w-with everything that just happened I probably shouldn't ask but what happened exactly? Are the others alright? Because Riley's my friend and she's gonna be pretty upset if, well-" Mo rambled. Dani just stayed silent.

"Mo, she's in shock, she just watched her sister die!" Lisa choked on a sob, "O-our sister. Give it a rest. The best we can hope is that they ran off."

"Right, I'm sorry it's just-" Mo spoke but Dani couldn't hear him anymore. There was a ringing in her ears and she was feeling awfully light headed all of a sudden.

"Dani!" Lisa exclaimed as she watched her sister flop to the ground. Lauren and Nate had heard and turned around, quickly making their way over to Lisa who was crouched next to Dani's body.

"Lisa, Lisa what's wrong with her?" Lauren urgently asked, "Lisa?"

"I don't know Lauren," Lisa replied angrily, "I can't see a thing."

"Right well we need to move," Mo said, scooping up Dani's body, "I'll carry her back to the beach maybe then we can take a look, hopefully they'll have got some fire started."

Lisa nodded her head as she marched forward, kicking branches out of the way so the others wouldn't trip. Nate and Lauren fell behind the group and Mo walked in the middle, Dani's pale body in his arms. He didn't want to worry the already devastated Lauren and Lisa but he could feel a wet substance oozing from Dani's back. They needed to get back to the beach and fast.

Christina anxiously chewed on her nails as she sat near the fire that Xander and Marcus had created out of the many branches and leaves the group had collected. She didn't know what to think, almost everyone had returned from the woods, almost everyone except for her sisters.

"Hi Chrissy," Leila said, walking over and then sitting crossed legged in front of the older girl. A flower crown sat on the little girls golden locks, Jack had made it for her so she could feel a little bit better after Jack and Christina told her that her parents were now in heaven.

"Hey little lady," Christina smiled.

"Is everything okay?" Leila asked, tilting her head to the side, her green eyes looking up at Christina in confusion. Christina didn't know how to answer her question. Reese came over and sat beside Leila in the sand.

"Everything's good kiddo," Reese said ruffling Leila's hair, "Chris here is just a little worried because her sisters aren't back yet, but they're going to be okay, they'll be back soon." Christina met Reese's eyes and mouthed a 'thank you'. Reese smiled in return.

"How about you get some sleep now? I'm sure it's way past your bedtime." Reese smiled as Leila suppressed a yawn.

"Yeah you too Christina," Vesper said walking over to them, "Rest up that leg of yours, we'll wake you if they come back."

"When. When they come back," Reese quickly added, "Because they will come back."

Christina looked at Reese with tears in her eyes and gave her a heartfelt smile. Then she held out for Leila's hand and they walked off to get some sleep.
