The sun was up once again, and Eli had guided Skye to the place where the chosen one would take her first step into her adventure. They went through a portal that was located in the center of the island, taking them to another world.

"We arrived at last. Come one, follow me!" Eli screamed while pulling Skye's arm.

This new world was a vast dune with no sign of life nearby. They walked through the sand and found interesting things on their way, but they didn't stop moving. They went through a little cave that guided them to the peak of a mountain, and Eli decided to make a little test on this place.

"You see, Skye, there is one thing you will have to learn to do sooner or later. You will learn how to fly with that cape you have on." Said Eli.

"Sounds interesting, but when will you teach me how to fly?" Skye asked.

"How about right now? Come catch me!"

Eli jumped off the mountain with his eyes closed and arms crossed. Skye freaked out and didn't know how to react.

"What in the bloody hell is wrong with you!? I'm not ready to fly!"

"You just have to lose your fear! That's the only thing you truly need to learn. Once you do that, you won't believe how good it feels to be in the air!"

Skye struggled for a moment, but she took a decision.

"Well then, here I come!"

The great girl jumped and dived as quick as she could. Once she reached Eli, she grabbed him and closed her eyes.

"Please, let this work..." Said Skye while worried. The cape suddenly started shining and took the shape of a pair of wings. She opened her eyes and put all of her mind into trying to flap them. Just when they were about to hit the ground, they started floating back up.

"See? I knew you could do it!" Said Eli.

"I guess you are right, but you do realize you could have harmed yourself, right?" She replied.

"It's all about trust, Skye. I know we just met, but there's something about you I have never seen before... That's why you earned mine so fast."

"Then I guess I have a lot to learn from you. Thanks for believing in me!"

Skye made her way back to the ground with Eli in his hands. When the boy stood up, he just felt someone hugging him. He was happy and returned the hug.

After that intense moment, they continued making their way through the desert. Until finally, they found what they were looking for. Before them was a temple which seemed to be abandoned. However, they could still hear its bells ringing.

"This is it. Welcome to the Temple of Dawn" Said Eli. "This place will reveal a lot about how your adventure will go."

Skye took a deep breath and stepped forward into the temple, but just before she did she heard a strange noise. When she looked around to see where it came from, she could see a light.

"Wait, what is that over there?" She asked.

"I have never seen something like it before. And I thought I knew everything about this place! Want to check it out?"

"There is no need to hurry, so sure!"

They got close to the light and were surprised with what they saw. It wasn't just a light, but the full shape of a man. He couldn't talk, but he somehow made both of them understand that they needed to shine light on him to set him free. Eli and Skye did as the man said, taking both of their candles and getting their light as close as they could. The spirit started to shine even more, until finally he was set free.

"You two sure are people someone can trust in no time. Thanks for setting me free!" Said the man.

"It is our pleasure to help! But, who are you anyway?" Eli asked.

"It's good that you ask that, for it will be useful for you later on." The man said.

"You see, you are not the only ones that have gone through this adventure. There has been lots and lots of chosen ones that have attempted to bring light back to this world. Some were closer than others, but no one has ever done it successfully. And us, spirits, are in charge of making those that go down on their quest always remembered. Perhaps you two will be the ones that will finally accomplish the mission. So I wish you luck, younglings. I hope you enjoy this adventure as much as we all did..."

As soon as the spirit ended his phrase, he vanished away. Skye and Eli were more than inspired with this, and they rushed into the temple. As they walked through the main hall, lights would suddenly appear to guide them in the correct direction. They followed them, until they finally got where they wanted to. Before them was a stone monument in the shape of a gem. It seemed to be sacred, which made them know this had to be the spot.

"This is the place. This is where it all truly starts. If you feel ready, take your candle and let the temple take its fire." Said Eli.

Skye felt determined, and with the support of this feeling she took her candle and raised it to the sky. The flame got bigger and started swirling around the temple. It slowly got closer to Skye's cape, which shined and absorbed the flame's light. She felt power flowing through her body, something Eli had felt before.

"This is where it all starts. Now that you truly have the ability to fly, we can explore even more than before!"

"Wait, YOU MEAN I WASN'T SUPPOSED TO FLY YET BUT YOU FORCED ME TO DO IT!? Oh, you are going to pay for that!"

"Woah, calm down! It was all under control anyway, but doesn't that mean that you are doing really good?"

"I guess it does... but I'm still going to make you pay! Just you wait!"

They went back to the island they now liked to call Home. They sat for a long time, when suddenly Skye saw a huge gate with a bell on top of it shining at the distance. She was really curious about it and decided to ask if Eli knew something.

"Hey, Eli. What is that gate over there?"

"..."

"Eli?"

"It's better that you don't know yet. I have bad memories from that place."

"Oh, so you have been there? How does it look like?"

"I just don't want to talk about it! It's for the good of both of us!"

"... Ok then."

Skye was a bit confused, but then she finally got sleepy and rested on Eli's shoulder. He seemed to be mad, but he smiled a little when he saw what Skye did. He closed his eyes as well and let the night pass.
