EDITED
Maybe I could have saved us. Maybe I could have acted differently. The problem is that I didn't.
I was young, headstrong and stubborn; I'll be the first to admit it. My father, Advisor Ay had warned me as had the former Queen.
The rush from being taken seriously for my ideas, bad or good, was overpowering however. It was addictive, this power.
For a long time I had everyone under my thrall, listening to me, a teenager. Then I went to far.
I dismantled Egypt as it had always been known. I paid for it, we all did.
If I could go back and change everything, would I? No, I wouldn't. Not for the reason you may expect, but because of the lessons I learned along the way, who I became.

A/N: Is there any historical figure you would like me to write about? Someone who you think has gone unnoticed, been underappreciated? Let me know, I'll start a story on them.
History is important. If we don't know and learn from our history, how will we know how to react in similar situations in the future?
