Caden
I looked nervously between my new mate and my father. If Ryder decided to challenge him, the alpha, things would not turn out well.
Ryder looked at him, his face blank. Then, he turned around, smirking, and said "where is your cereals?"
I just stood there, frozen in shock. How was he so casual? He looked at me, eyebrow quirked and amusement on his face.
"U-uh, third cabinet to your left." I said, snapping out of my shock.
He nodded, and went over.
"Bowls are over there as well." My father said, obviously slightly annoyed.
Ryder nodded again, and grabbed some cereal and a bowl. He went over to the fridge, and grabbed milk.
"Spoons?" Ryder said.
I pointed to the drawer.
He prepared his cereal, as if not noticing the alpha and future alpha staring at him.
If he was anyone else beside my mate, I would have had him submit to me, flashing his neck and bowing his head. But surprisingly, I didn't. It was kind of funny, seeing how he didn't care about the ranking order of the wolf packs.
He finished his cereal after a few minutes, and put the dishes in the sink. He flashed me a small smirk, and attempted to walk out of the kitchen.
My father hasn't said anything yet, but the moment Ryder turned his back on my father, his gaze turned deadly.
In a flash, he was right in front of Ryder, growling. Ryder stopped, and looked up.
"Excuse me," Ryder said politely , and sidestepped, trying to get around my Father.
"You're not going anywhere," my father growled
" until I get answers. "Ryder
I was playing a dangerous game, ignoring the alpha like that. In all honesty, I was panicking the entire time, but I kept a blank face. That's one of my talents.
As soon as I turned my back on the alpha, however, I knew the game was over. My wolf wanted nothing more than to submit to the alpha, but I was way less willing. Blocking my wolf, I did the only thing I could think of; getting away from the situation. But, like a wild animal, you never run away. Walk away calmly."Excuse me," I said politely, trying to maintain a straight face.
" You're not going anywhere until I get answers. " he growled at me, and I heard my wolf whimper.
Shaking off the feeling, I smiled tightly.
"Of course. What do you want to know. " I said. Oh, God. I was going to die, disrespecting him like this. But honestly, screw the wolf system. Its all bullshit anyway.
The alpha growled again, baring his teeth. I shivered slightly, fighting over the feeling of submission.
"Sit down. " he said. Like hell I was, I'm no dog. Unlike a certain alpha in front of me.
"I prefer to stand. Helps me wake up," I said, the tight smile never leaving my face.
" Sit. " he growled menacingly.
Alright, he was seriously starting to annoy me. I had a feeling he wasn't going to seriously hurt me, however. Aleast, not directly, or in front of his son.
I let some of my annoyance slip out and flash through my eyes for a split second, and I cursed myself.
Well now I was totally dead.
"Ryder, just answer the questions." I heard Caden basically whisper. His voice was tense and worried.
"Fine. " I snapped, and walked back into the kitchen, turning my back on the alpha yet again.
I felt his presence right before he attacked.
The next thing I know, I'm on the floor, face down. His knee is pinning me down, so I'm unable to get up. Grunting at the impact, I struggled to turn my head to the side to see the alpha. Ok, he is seriously annoying.
"Get.off.me" I grunted. He was very muscular, and his knee wasn't helping me breath at all.
"Answer my questions first." He growled.
I sighed, and nodded."What's your name." He said.
" Ryder. "
"Pack?"
" I'm rogue. "
" Where did you get the scent concealer? "
"Clan of warlocks. They live pretty far from here. "
"What's your wolf rank." I flinched, I hated talking about my wolf.
I stayed silent, and felt the knee dig harder into my shoulder blades.
"What. Is. It." He growled.
" none of your goddamn business! " I shouted, losing control of my emotions. He managed to make me really mad, and I'm not the most respectful person when I'm mad.
I felt I sharp kick in my side, breaking a rib. I hissed clenching my jaw in pain.
"Please, Ryder. Just tell us. " I heard the soft voice of my mate. Clenching my eyes shut, I whispered so quietly, I don't think they heard me.
"My wolf is an omega. "
"What was that, boy? I didn't hear you." The alpha taunted.
That's it.
"I'M A FUCKING OMEGA, NOW WILL YOU PLEASE GET YOURSELF OFF OF MY BACK SO I CAN GO RELEASE MY ANGER ON SOMETHING THAT ISNT ALIVE." I shouted, panting.
I felt the pressure release on my back, and I stood up, wincing from my broken rib.
I glared at the alpha, and stalked past him."Hey, Ryder! You can't go out there!" I heard Caden yell, but I didnt care. Slamming through the backdoor, I sprinted through the yard. Coming to the edge of the clearing, I sat down, resting my back on a tall tree.
Panting from the pain from my broken rib, I closed my eyes, gritting my teeth.
"Hey." I heard Caden say.
" what the fuck was that? " he said, laughing. I opened my eyes, surprised. I was expecting him to be mad at me. Instead, he stood there, laughing. I smirked, and he sat down next to me.
"You are one badass omega. " he said, and I flinched.
"My wolf is omega. I am not. So don't call me one"
"Speaking of which, what color is your wolf?" He said, quickly changing the subject.
I don't mind questions like that, as long as he didn't ask about rank and such. Or ask me to shift.
" bright red, with black streaks. " I replied.
"Like fire," I heard him mumble, and I smirked.
" Yeah, like fire. "A/n- well, that was kinda tense between the alpha and Ryder.
Also, autocorrect is a bitch. Just saying. so if there are any misspelled words, or grammar problems, comment them. I'll make sure to fix them ASAP. I'm not the best writer, so go easy on me please 😅
