I woke up to someone tapping in my shoulder. I realized that I fell asleep at the desk and shot up. I grabbed my gun and pointed it at the person as I stood up.
"Loralai," The man said as he lifted his hands. "It's just me."
I saw black hair and green eyes and realized it was Loki. I sighed and dropped my hands to my sides. I set the gun back down on the desk and covered my face with my hands and groaned.
"I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was you-"
He cut me off before I could finish my sentence. He grabbed my arms and slowly moved them away from my face. Once his fingers were laced with mine he started to talk.
"Please don't do that." He said as he looked into my eyes. "You have no need to apologize. It was my fault. I should have been more careful. Just please don't blame yourself."
I sighed. I knew he didn't want me to blame myself, but that would mean I would have to blame him. He might not let on that he's still hurting from his past, but I saw that and I wasn't going to let him suffer even more.
"I can't Loki. I can't blame you when it wasn't even your fault.
"I don't want you to blame yourself either-"
"I almost shot you! How can I not blame myself for that?!"
I tried to pull away, but his grip on my hands didn't loosen. "You didn't though. You realized it was me and you put the gun down. That's got to count for something right?"
I looked back up to meet his eyes. "I guess. It doesn't change the fact that I'm still, I don't know. Like this, I mean, I trust you, I really do, but sometimes I forget for a split second and then I end up almost hurting someone and I hate it."
Before I could keep going he interrupted me again. "You know I don't care about any of that. I know it seams like a big deal, but it's understandable. I know it's hard, but eventually you'll get through this. You just can't blame yourself for it."
There was a moment of silence before either of us said anything. My gaze moved from his eyes down to his lips. We had never kissed before, I guess the opportunity never presented itself. I looked back up to his eyes. My heart beat sped up and my palms started to sweat.
"Kiss me." I whispered.
"What?" He asked in confusion.
"You heard me. I want you to kiss me." I was starting to let my nerves get the best of me. I didn't know what I was doing. I'd never kissed anyone before.
"Are you sure?" He asked, leaning in closer.
"I guess."
After that he leaned down and planted his lips on mine. We stood like that for a few seconds and then he pulled away. I grabbed his shirt collar and tried to pull him closer, but he didn't move.
"Someone's coming." He whispered.
Before we pulled away the door to the hotel room opened. I quickly pulled away from him and turned to face the door. Once I saw that it was Bucky I started blushing.
He closed the door and started walking towards his bed. "Sorry. Did I interrupt something?" He asked wit a grin on his face.
Loki chuckled. "Just a little."
Bucky turned to face is. "Sorry. I just came to see if you guys were hungry."
I looked at the clock and saw that it was around nine in the morning. "I could eat. Where did you want to go?"
