"Can't I really perform with this?"

"Ano ka ba ghurl, may tonsil ka! Don't ask me something you can easily answer on your own."

I put down my make up in irritation and looked at the mirror once more to fix my lip-tint.

Onti na lang talaga at masasagad na ng babaeng 'to ang pasensya ko. Mabuti nalang at sumulpot si Kerrygan sa likuran namin na nagmamadaling gumora. 

"Sidney, Aeriesa, tara na."

Nakaisip naman ako ng pangblackmail kaya I responded quickly while I sat on the table. "Huwag na kaya nating isama 'to? Ang-" Aerie cut me off desperately- all painted with panic on her face. "No! Hindi na ako magkukulit, promise!" Susunod rin pala sa'kin, pinatagal pa. Mygod!

"Sure na bang nakalock lahat?" Alex asked as soon as we got outside, looking bored na nakasandal pa sa van. I can tell that she's annoyed kasi ang tagal namin kanina sa loob.

I passed her the keys and winked at her. "Yes, babe."

I'm sure Alex was the most traumatized among us by the situation that happened a month ago. Someone broke in kasi sa apartment namin dati and sa room niya nakadaan so.. that's it.

Anyway, we've moved in far away from that place now and we're living somewhere safer, at least. A known subdivision with guards.

As soon as we made sure we have everything that we need, nagstart na magdrive si Kerrygan.

How should I explain this shortly? Maybe when we met in Spain I recognized him as fast as the rat and thought I should pop him a message to gain a new follower on IG.

Everything else happened unexpectedly, though. I was just after his 'followback' shit but ends up, dinaldal niya ako while I was planning to just ignore him. Kalat kasing fuckboy siya eh.

But anyway, he was persistent enough to completely ruin it and even spared a time to attend QC Fair now to watch us live.

I'm not sure who or what he's going after to, but- my instincts tell me that it's my best friend. Well, sadly, he is not hearing Aerie's voice tonight. And whatever he's planning to do with her, it's not gonna happen, it's not gonna work.

At least not with Aeriesa Jean Cortez.

"Sino 'yang palagi mong kachat?"

"H-hindi ka pa ba nasanay? Marami naman akong kausap palagi ah!" Tss. Defensive!

"Ikaw Sidney ha, may tinatago ka nanaman sa akin."

Baka mamaya kasi makipag-eyeball nanaman siya sa kung kani-kanino at maulit 'yung pangmamanyak na nangyari sakanya dati. Mahirap na.

"Sis you sound like my mom, stop it."

Hindi nalang ako sumagot at inirapan siya. Concern lang naman ako eh kung ayaw niya yon edi bahala siya.

"Aerie, si Kerrygan magsesecond voice ha? Same kaming guitars muna. Ikaw na sa drums. G?"

Nakakainis naman 'tong tonsil ko at kahit anong inom ko ng tubig ay hindi yata mawawala hanggang mamaya. Grabe pa naman yung mga rehearsal na ginawa ko for a week tapos hindi rin pala ako makakakanta. Drums pa nga. Hay.

Wala naman akong ibang choice kaya sumang-ayon na lang ako kay Alex. 'Di bale na, lahat naman kami kahit saan mailagay may ibubuga para sa audience kaya okay lang yon. It's okay, self! May next time naman!

Pero hindi talaga ehh! Huhu.

"Dito na us. Baba na."

"Yuli, I can't.. Alam mo naman diba?"

I'm thinking to just end the call. And his silence gave me enough reason to do so.

"Uhm, sorry. Bye na pala. I'm loaded with school works."

I heard him saying 'wait' on the other line but before he was even able to finish whatever he was saying, I hung up.

Mahal ko siya. But I just have goals to focus more on. Even if it costs enduring the seemingly-endless discrimination and temptations or rejecting Yuli.. I'm not willing to risk my dream.

Ulysses has been setting our future together way too ahead. He plans to live out of the country as soon as matapos na 'yung contract niya sa agency. And he wants to do it with me. He wants to marry me too when that time comes. I just..

I want to become a doctor. I really do. And in time, I will be. I need to secure that.

"Ate.. pinapasabi po.. ni kuya Yuwi, you don't forget to eat. He is sleepy na raw po eh.. He says, good night."

Napangiti ako sa little sister ko na pumasok sa kwarto ko habang hawak hawak pa 'yung tablet niya.

"Come here, bunso. Give me a hug!"

Being the obedient little kid she is, she started to walk towards me slowly. Nang makalapit naman na siya sa'kin ay tinitigan niya ako. Waiting for me to hug her instead.

Those innocent eyes, I have them as well. Yuli always mentioned this is why we look alike so much.

"Me wuvs you, ate Kathchin." I smiled.

Well, someday, I hope my little sister finds a man who will love her too. But it must be someone who knows how to love himself first. She deserves that.

Mahirap magmahal nang wala kang tinitira sa sarili mo. Para kang sumusugal ng bagay na hindi mo alam na mas mahalaga pa pala kesa sa posible mong mapanalunan.

In my case, I'm willing to wait for Yuli.. for him to realize that.

"Nooo, I'm deciding na pala today. Hindi ko na pag-iisipan, not at all! Haha! We're definitely gonna hire you! As in now na."

Sabi niya pag-iisipan niya pa? Nilapag ko lang naman 'yung pictures na nakuhanan ko sa Spain, nagbago na agad isip niya. Hays.

"Full time? Salary with benefits? HMO? Ano pa ba? Well, here you go, the job offer. You can sign it as soon as- right now!"

Napansin kong pinagpapawisan siya kahit nakaaircon naman dito sa office. Namumula rin ang tenga niya na kitang kita dahil sa kanyang messy bun. I smirked and got hold of the paper she's handing over me. Habang may kinakalkal ako sa bag, she was making a deal.

"Can you do that, please?" She basically wants me to delete the photos.

As expected, dear.

"Of course. We can forget about the photos, you can delete them yourself, you can check my files and everything else but.. just make sure I get the job, okay?"

Mabuti na lang pala I managed to threaten that one Spanish girl na mukhang nagshabu for straight 1 week. I just had to make sure she doesn't figure out the boys' identity.

She almost did but gladly I came just in time though. Binigay ko lang sa kanya 'yung ipad kong bulok and that was it.

"Sure! Welcome to the Grant Agency, Zia Rain Santillan."

Okay, here we go. I feel sorry for this girl kaso, nangangailangan ako ng trabaho eh. I may have been fired in my previous job but that company sucks anyway.

"Thank you. Appreciate it." We shook hands while both of us smiling. Though I can still sense a tension between her eyes. I'm sure she's gonna freak the fuck out after this.

Now I just have one problem. Him. I hope he does not recognize me.

Author's Note: Alright, this is it! Introduction done. Hmm, I will be posting maybe a trailer or an edited photo to show them to you guys (soon). I'm working on picking real life models to use them as your reference for our main characters.
