Today is Day 24 and the topic is "Write about a lesson you've learned the hard way"
Hatred can be an unhealthy habit
Back when I started high school, I started to hate people. I hated people whom I did not like their personality or the way they talk and handled situations. I was a very unreasonable boy last time I would say.
I hated this friend back in Form 1. He was really straightforward, he just says what he wants without hesitation and that made me really angry about it. He was also quite a bully to a lot of my friends and there were a lot of physical abuse like actions.
When it was reported, I felt really just. I felt like I did what was right. We were on bad terms with each other. I hated him and I was so happy that I was no longer in the same class as him. The following year, unfortunately, one of our subjects had us sharing classes and whenever we saw each other, we had our stares on.
When he was promoted to be a student leader, I was highly against it. People who have terrible personalities to me should not be student leaders but deep down inside, he was the right person for the job because he portrayed leadership more than anyone else could. Despite being a person who turned against him, he still helped me and talked to me when I was facing my own problems.
I learned that hating someone for what you don't like about them and not seeing the good qualities they bring can be really unhealthy. You miss out on the good times that a person can bring you and the wonderful memories you can make.
