"Hello Vernon"
I couldn't believe what I saw in front of my eyes.
"A-abella?" I stuttered with disbelief in my eyes. My body was shaking, my heart racing, and my organs dropping.
She smiled at me.
"Enjoy your moment," my housekeeper said as she chuckled, walking away from the room.
"W-what ar-- no I mean, how are you here?" I asked, still not being able to believe that Abella was standing right in front of me.
"I gave it a thought. Really, I thought a lot about you after the day you left like that. I'm sorry I couldn't say anything. I wasn't in the mood. I was so perplexed," she played with her fingers, looking down as she spoke.
My eyes grew soft.
"And, that guy I called my boyfriend was just my neighbour. We never talk. He was there to meet my mom," she made a small eye contact, hiding the shy smile underneath those soft, beautiful lips.
God, I miss those lips.
"Abe--" I was cut off when I felt a vibration in my pocket. I took out my phone. It was Mr. MacQuoid.
Abella's expression filled with concern.
"Oh! I almost forgot it's your big day. I should probably leave," Abella freaked out and started walking away.
I quickly declined the call and grabbed her wrist.
"Don't leave, Abella," I said as I pulled her closer to my body.
"Vernon. You're getting married, you should stop," Abella said with an unusual pain in her eyes.
"Married? Yes I am and I'll never regret it," I said as my grip on her wrist tightened.
Abella's expression became dull at my words.
"But do you know who's going to be my wife today?" I asked rhetorically.
Her eyes filled with wonder as I asked the question. She seemed to understand the words beneath my eyes.
I didn't wait any longer, but placed my lips on hers to kiss her shortly.
"You're coming with me," I said as I dragged her to my room.
"Where?" She asked.
"To the Church," I said.
"But what about the wedding," she asked with extreme concern.
"Abella, you have to trust me on this," I said.
My phone buzzed again.
I quickly received the call.
"Sir shall I?"
I smirked.
"Go ahead," I commanded.
"What is it?" Abella asked as she read my facial expressions.
I smiled at her and caressed her cheeks with my thumb.
"You'll see"
