Nat's POV

Some weeks passed and James never got tired of me, which made me very stressed.

Steve and his friends were always very protective with me and they never let me alone.

I was happy that they wanted to protect me but it was very stressful, it was like if I was a prisoner.

That day aunt Lily agreed with Steve and decided to let me go home alone while steve was having an extra class.

My home wasn't very far from school, only some minutes with the subway.
I was sat on the train when someone sat next to me.

-See you again-.

I recognized that voice: James.

I ignored him like last time and he sighed smiling.

-I have found out that you are Roger's cousin- he said.

I looked at him: how did he know?

-I have my ways to get informations- he said smiling -You still didn't tell me why you don't talk-.

I rolled my eyes but I smiled, it was stronger than me.

-You smiled, I can't believe I saw it- he said smiling.

It was my stop so I got up and exited the train, sighing in relief that the embarassing talk was ended.

It was when I exited the subway that James reached me again.

-I live in this area- he said -I am not followimg you, I promise-.

I nodded and kept walking, ignoring him.

-Have you ever tried Joe's coffee?- he asked and I shaked my head -Well it is a must here, come with me I'll buy you one-.

Should I go with him? Or just ignore him and walk back home?

Before I knew we were at the café and he bought me a cup of coffee.

-So, do you like it?- he asked.

I nodded: it was good, I admit it, the best coffee I have ever had.

He finished the coffee almost soon and he took a cigarette.

I looked at him, smoking was bad and he shouldn't do it.

-You want one?- he asked and I shaked my head.

I took his cigarette from his mouth and threw it away; he smiled, knowing what I meant doing that.

-I know I know, I shouldn't smoke but it relaxes me- James said and I sighed.

We reached my home and when I was about to enter James took my hand and gave me his number.

I smiled and I took his phone, saving my number.

-Maybe you should save me with a nickname, you know just in case Steve looks at your phone- he said and I smiled, entering home.

-You are back! It took longer, what happened?!- aunt Lily said as soon as I closed the door.

I showed hee the cup of coffee and she smiled.

-You chose the best café in the area! I was worried that something happened- she said hugging me.

I smiled and after hugging her back I went upstairs in my room.

I was studying when I received a text.

I smiled; I didn't know why but James made me feel good, in peace.

I should have been scared of him but I wasn't and Steve didn't have to know about us, he would have got crazy.

Hiding our meetings from Steve was the hardest thing.
