After this, I met more than a hundred men ready to marry me but most of them were only here because they wanted to be wealthy and powerful as the husband of the Queen or as the military leader. None of them cared about my people or about the danger that the werewolves represented. I had spent so much time in vain. When finally, I thought back of that night, at the desolate abbey. I needed to find Patrick, my saviour. I had learnt after the incident that he was a well-known trapper. He was summoned not only to kill werewolves but also to snare them. He was the perfect candidate, even if being my husband would be the only reward this time.

I requested his presence and he came. Under the daylight, he was completely different from what I remembered. He was older thanme and he seemed haggard and starving. We started by making small talk as thedomestics brought us plenty of dishes. Then, the conversation twisted to what Iexpected from him. I knew he was the right one. He was handsome, gentle and obviously,he was a great hunter. A pretty face to show to my people and a skilful protector at the same time.
