Saiki- no, Ritorubadi sat in her usual booth in a bar commonly visited by vigilantes, villains, and everyone in between. This time, her hair was straight and lilac in color, complimenting her fair skin and striking blue eyes. The info broker sipped on her whiskey in boredom, gazing idly at the rambling man in front of her. Please, he begged, make my wife pay. Apparently, she got quite a bit in the divorce and he wanted some juicy information he could use to get back at her. From what she could gather, quite violently. Sighing, Ritorubadi held up a cigarette, her dear friend accompanying her lighting it with blue fire.
After taking a puff, she spoke. "You do know what my fee is?"
The man looked around and pulled an envelope out of his jacket, placing it on the table with a smug grin. "$10,000 in cash. Should be more than enough, wouldn't you say?"
She stared at the envelope, then back at the man. Suddenly, she broke out into laughter and thus silenced the bar. They had all run into Ritorubadi one way or another and knew enough that they patiently waited for her to finish her chuckling before resuming quiet conversation. She looked at the man with teary eyes and an amused grin. "My God, I was just asking out of curiosity! You have quite the nerve to be walking around with that cash in this part of town, let alone flaunt it. Besides, I had no intention of doing business with you in the first place. Get a reputation, a couple million more dollars, and then we can talk."
The man flushed red, but was dropped through a portal below him before he could even cry uncle. Once the portal had closed, another opened beside her and she threw an envelope of her own in. Then, she returned to nursing her drink and taking occasional puffs of a cigarette, and a new person was called to her table. The same routine followed over and over again lasting through the whole night sometimes. Exchanges of money, information, and favors happened so fast that you couldn't leave the bar for even a second in fear of missing your chance with Ritorubadi. It took time to even get into contact with her and even then, there was no guarantee you would get what you wanted. Always a different girl, always the same behaviors, and always being wary of her clientele.
No one knows who or what Ritorubadi is and she would like to keep it that way.
