Maleficent woke up and Diaval was lying next to her. She didn't know how to feel, happy, flattered, or afraid. Diaval woke up and threw his hand on Maleficent's waist to calm her down.
"It's ok Mistress nothing happened." Diaval told her. She calmed down a little but she was kind of disappointed.
"Then why on Earth are you in my bed?" Maleficent said as she got up and stretched.
"Well it's a long story," Diaval started.
Maleficent was glancing over at the bed smiling. She began leading Diaval over, he began to grow nervous. She leaned onto the bed and pulled him with her, and she began kissing him again. He pulled away. He thought to himself. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, SHE IS TELLING YOU IT'S OK WHY ARE WE RESISTING?! She doesn't know what she's doing, she's adjusting to her new feelings of love and she thinks she wants something that she doesn't. This would be a big mistake and I would hate for her to regret it later, I can't let her do this. As much as it will hurt you have to upset her." Diaval thought. He kept pulling away and Maleficent kept pulling harder.
"Come on Diaval, I thought you loved me." Maleficent teased with a low seductive tone and squinted eyes.
"Well, you thought the same thing about King Stefan." Diaval said. Maleficent's eyes grew wide and she laughed.
"Good one Diaval, now seriously let's do this." She said as she tried to kiss him again.
"Uh...no Mistress." Diaval said. She let go of him and raised an eyebrow, her face got stern.
"Diaval! Did you just say no to me?!" Maleficent said. Diaval began to apologize but then he had an idea.
"Yes I did, I said no." He said as he stood up straight and had a serious look as he looked down at Maleficent. She had her eyes squinted with confusion and anger.
"I get it now! You think you can shower me with gifts and compliments, then you can get what you want and rush off at last minute like-" she started, then she stopped for a moment and glared at Diaval with glazed eyes. "Like Stefan. Well you know something Diaval, it worked and we're here and rather you like it or not this is going to happen. I refuse to be rejected twice Diaval." She said as she stood up and began strutting towards him. He sighed.
"This is why we can't do this, you are still in pain. You are still skeptical and cautious and still believe that nothing can come out of this but destruction. You need time, to really know what you want and how you want it." Diaval said. Maleficent's face softened. She smiled at Diaval then nodded, she walked over and kissed him.
"I really am tired Diaval," she said as she stretched a little, even her wings began to draw back. Diaval chuckled a little then nodded. "Well! Get out of here you disease written bird I need rest." Maleficent teased sternly as if the whole situation never happened. She turned away and walked over to her bed. Diaval bowed.
"Yes good night Mistress." He began to leave.
"Oh and Diaval?" She called as she laid in bed with her back turned to the door.
               "Yes Mistress?" He answered softly.
"This was the best day ever." She said. Diaval smiled.
"Thank you Mistress." He responded then he left to go downstairs. He looked up at his nest and realized that once again she forgot to turn him into a raven. He looked at the couch and he sighed. He needed a blanket so he snuck back upstairs to take one from Maleficent. When he got up there she was asleep, she was tossing and turning though. He looked a little closer and realized she was sweating. Then he saw a single tear fall down her cheek. He realized she was having a nightmare. Her wings began to flap and he sat next to her and rubbed her arm. He started from her shoulder and worked his way down to her hand, then she grabbed his hand and held it. She began to calm down. When he thought she was ok he began to stand up but she wouldn't let go of his hand. So he stayed there and comforted her until he dozed off.
"Oh Diaval, you stayed to comfort me?" Maleficent asked. Diaval blushed a little and nodded. "That's so sweet, but if you ever mention that incompotent backstabbing rodent in this house again, I will turn you into a dog permenantly." She said as her eyes glowed green and her voice and face turned stern, she looked as cold as ice. Diaval quickly nodded with his eyes wide.
"Yes Mistress." He answered. She tilted her head up and spoke loudly and affirmatively.
"Well now, we have a lot to do today. I need you to check in on Sir Jordan and Beastie's little baby," Maleficent said, Diaval nodded. "I will be watching over the Moors from the cliff." Maleficent said. She flicked her wrist and this time Diaval was ready for the black fog. He immediately flew out the window, and Maleficent went straight to her closet.
Later that day she was standing firmly on the cliff end. She looked really stern and lost in thought. She thought to herself.
"I haven't heard much from my little Hybrid. Why do you care, she is with her mother. I care because that demon disguised as a woman seems very suspicious. You just don't like her because she likes Diaval. YEAH WELL DIAVAL'S WITH ME! And that's not the point. Spark seemed so happy with her, what if she forgets about me, I was her Aunt Mal, her hero, her...her mother." Maleficent stopped thinking when she realized she had tears streaming down her face. She quickly wiped them, then she kept looking over the cliff.
Diaval flew into one of the castle windows and down the halls to find Jordan rushing around. He went in the king's room and he gave him something to eat, and gave him an extra pillow, then Jordan rushed out of the king's room then into the nursery and gave Harmony a diaper change and a bottle, then he did a whole perimeter check of the castle. He finally sat down on one of the thrones in the throne room, then he began to cry. Diaval seemed pretty worried about him, he perched next to Jordan and rubbed his head against his arm. When Jordan saw Diaval he cheered.
"DIAVAL! I can tell you. I can't tell her, but I can tell you." Jordan said. Diaval began to get frightened. Jordan grabbed Diaval with both hands and held him. Diaval began to caw. "No no Diaval calm down, I have something very important to tell you and you have to take it back to Maleficent, do your best to remember all of it." Jordan said. Diaval nodded. Jordan explained to him everything Rain was planning and how she took Spark and stopped him from telling Maleficent. "Did you get all of that?" Diaval nodded. "Good take it back to Maleficent for me." Jordan said happily. Diaval nodded and Jordan let go, Diaval flew straight out the window and headed straight for the cliff cawing like crazy. He then felt a shock go through his body he fell out of the sky and Rain picked him up. Then she squeezed him a little.
"Listen you little entre, you are going to keep your mouth shut or else you will end up on my menu." Rain threatened, Diaval cawed as loud as he could he even tried pecking at Rain's arm. Everytime he cawed she sent a pulsing shock through his body. Soon he just stopped, his insides were hurt. "I really liked you too, you little demon." She snarled. Diaval tried to fly away, but Rain wouldn't let go. "Oh no. You think that I would let you go back to her with the information you have. Think again little birdy." She said as she walked him back to her house. She threw him in the glass box with Spark. Spark was lying in a corner shivering from weakness, she had melted ice packs lying around. Diaval fought to get out and cawed loudly, he even stuck his beak through an air hole.
"It's no use Diaval, it's sealed. We do what she says and we won't get hurt." Spark said with a soft, trembled voice as she slowly sat up and scrunched her nose.  She had a half melted ice pack on her head and her eyes were red, she had a red face stained with tears, and veins popping out of her head. Diaval turned around to see Spark in this terrible condition and he shed a tear and let out a caw of concern,  Spark was like one of his own and seeing her like this was a painful sight. He hovered in front of her. "So she got you too Uncle Diaval,"Spark asked as she looked up at Diaval with her eyes squinted. "That demon." Spark murmured to herself and she glared at her mother who was sitting in the living room warming herself by the fire. Diaval landed on Spark's shoulder and rubbed his head on her cheek. He was cawing as if to ask her if she was ok. A small smile spread across Spark's face. "I'm fine Diaval, the question is how are you and Aunt Mal? The moment this flower comes out of my hair and I'm out of this box I have a new vision about you two." Spark said as she tried to sound happy. Diaval began to caw defensively and his eyes grew wide, he shook his head. "Yeah, alright Uncle Diaval." Spark said as she smiled weakly. She sat back down and closed her eyes. "It's been a living nightmare here Uncle Diaval. She's been straining every possible muscle in my brain. I've been having terrible, painful, long headaches. Every vision ends with me seeing traces of blood clouding my visions. I feel faint, SHE WON'T FREEZE MY ICE PACKS!" Spark shouted loud enough for Rain to hear.
"Shut up and push through it!" Rain responded. Spark forced herself to stand up and she kicked the thick glass wall. Then fell back down to the ground. Then she let out  a quiet but tight groan. Then her eyes closed and she pressed the ice pack to her head even harder. Diaval flew over and landed on her shoulder, he held his wing behind her head as if he were holding her. "Come on Aunt Mal, we're running out of time." Spark whispered to herself. "I need my mommy." Spark whispered to herself. Diaval stroked her head with his wing.
Maleficent was excited to see the lavender strike cross the sky she thought it was her little Hybrid. She smiled wide and flew over. When she landed she didn't see anyone or anything. She looked down to see a raven feather.
"Diaval?" She asked herself. She began to grow suspicious. "Now wait a moment, Spark would never hurt Diaval." Maleficent said. She flew to the castle so she could ask Jordan some questions. When she got there he was still sitting in the throne room with his head in his hands. She began to walk over to him, suddenly he got up and started moving backwards.
"Sir Jordan what on Earth are you doing?" Maleficent said walking closer, Jordan kept avoiding her. He tried to talk but no words came out. "Well spit it out." She said, growing concerned.
"I told Diaval to tell you." Jordan said.
"Well he never came to tell me anything, so just tell me yourself." Maleficent said.
"Oh no she got him too." Jordan said with his eyes growing wide.
"Who has Diaval and why?" Maleficent asked. Jordan tried to tell her but the words could never come out. He rushed past her and grabbed some paper and a pen. He began writing then gave Maleficent the paper, when he handed it to her the ink disappeared. "Jordan just say it!" Maleficent said sternly for she was getting flustered. Jordan pointed to his eye. "I" Maleficent said aloud. Jordan nodded. Then he shook his head and waved his hand under his neck. "Can't!?" She guessed. He tapped his nose, pointed at her and nodded. "Well why not?" She demanded. Jordan held his hands up and wriggled his fingers and moved his hand down slowly. "RAIN!" Maleficent guessed as she tightened her grip on her staff and her eyes glowed green, Jordan nodded.
"You are really good at charades." Jordan said as he smiled. Maleficent glared at him. He threw both his hands up and looked away sheepishly. Maleficent flew through a window, shattering glass as she flew back to the Moors. She scanned the whole land and didn't find Rain, Spark or Diaval anywhere. She grew even angrier, she hadn't even noticed that green flames were trailing behind her. She eventually got tired and went back to the top of the cliff. The sun had begun to set and she still couldn't see any sign of Rain. She stood at the end of the cliff with her eyes closed and she pinched the bridge of her nose. Then she heard thunder. She quickly looked up and saw a small lavender bolt hitting the ground behind her. She looked at it and it was fading as if the power in it was weak. Then it began to move toward the right. She slowly and cautiously began to follow it.
At the far right corner in the same little field Rain had dragged Spark to earlier Rain and Spark had returned to train that evening. Spark was lying in the grass and she was breathing hard.
"I said get UP!" Rain yelled. Spark struggled to stand up, but she did it. She centered herself. "Now make the storm bigger." Rain commanded.
"I CAN'T, I TOLD you MY HEAD HURTS!" Spark shouted, then a large lightning bolt was fired at Rain. She blocked it with a bigger bolt. Then she glared at Spark, who looked worried, the storm went away and she fell back.
"You little BRAT!" Rain shouted as she began to charge at Spark.
"It was an accident REALLY!" Spark cried as she tried to protect herself. Rain snatched her up and snarled at her.
"TRAINING'S OVER!" Rain shouted in Spark's face. Spark winced and her nose scrunched in pain.
"Could you stop yelling?" Spark said as she grabbed her head. Rain threw her down forcefully. Spark felt all the pain rush to her head. Then her eyes opened wide and she gasped.
Maleficent was following the lavender bolt into a small forest, then the bolt flickered and went out. Maleficent began to look around and she was about to walk away. Then the bolt flickered back again and Maleficent heard the buzz of the bolt. She turned around and she began following the bolt again and this time it was a little brighter and stronger.
Diaval was flying around in the glass box. He began to peck at it, the glass was thicker than he thought. He flew over to the door of the glass box and he saw the plastic covered hinges on the door. He used his beak to peel the plastic off, then he used his beak to unscrew the hinges. The door fell and he flew out of the box then out the window. He was headed to the cliff when he got there Maleficent wasn't there. He then rushed home to find no one there. He got nervous and began to fly around and caw until she called him.
Rain turned around to see Spark concentrating really hard, she seemed strained.
"What are you doing?!" Rain asked as she began to rush over to Spark. Spark needed to hold on for a few more seconds. Rain laid her hand on Spark's head and began to slowly squeeze her head. Spark began to lose focus. She tried to hold out for a few more seconds, but the pain was unbearable. She fainted, but just as she lost consciousness Maleficent pushed through the trees. Rain looked at her and growled, she dropped Spark's unconscious body in the grass, and began to march her way to Maleficent who was glaring at her too. She looked past Rain and saw Spark lying in the grass with a red face, and small veins popping out on her head, and a few tears rolling down her cheek.
"What have you DONE TO HER?!" Maleficent began to shout. Her eyes glowed green with some reddish orange swirled in and she tightened her grip on her staff and a green orb of magic pulsed through the air and it knocked Rain to the ground.
"I didn't do anything, she was in the middle of her training." Rain said, she stood up and her eyes began to glow lavender and her neat black hair began to frizz, both her arms were circled with lavender sparks of electricity. She aimed her arms at Maleficent and an enormous ball of electricity was fired at Maleficent who blocked it with a green fire wall. Diaval saw the green pulse and the purple sparks fly into the air, he got scared and then he flew in a small circle. He quickly flew over and landed right next to his Mistress. She flicked her wrist and he was a man again. Rain looked taken back by Diaval's presence. "How did you get out of that box?" She asked. Diaval tapped Maleficent's shoulder, she looked at him with a snarl. Her fangs were visible, she was breathing heavily and her eyes were green and red at the same time, and her wings were fanned all the way out. Diaval nodded at her affirmatively. She slowly turned back to Rain, who was scowling at Diaval. Maleficent fired three fireballs at Rain. She shot them all down with big lavender bolts.
While the fight was going on Diaval rushed over to Spark, she was lying in the grass, breathing hard. She slowly opened her eyes to see Diaval on his knees holding her and laying his head on hers. She smiled and began to doze off. He kissed her forehead and whispered to her.
"Everything will be ok. Your Aunt Mal and Uncle Diaval are here." He said as he hugged her. His eyes began to water, and he held her close to his chest. Then he just stayed there while Maleficent handled Rain.
Rain was losing and she was running out of options. She raised her hand and clutched her hand into a fist a large bolt struck Maleficent hard. Maleficent dropped her staff and fell down. Rain blinked and she saw a white light Maleficent's aura was dark blue (in pain). Rain smiled sinisterly. She blinked again and the white light went away. Then Rain wriggled her fingertips and a string of electricity slowly spilled out from her fingers. They wrapped around Maleficent and Rain clutched her hands and Maleficent felt a sharp pain course through her. She couldn't move and the electric strings were very tight. Rain looked down at her and smiled sinisterly.
"Well the plan was to have Spark kill you then she could be the most powerful fairy and gain us both fame, but I will gladly take it all for myself." Rain said. Then she struck a lightning bolt right next to her then grabbed it, it transformed into a spear. "Time for me to shine." Rain said as she rushed over to Maleficent. Maleficent's eyes grew wide with fear, along with Diaval.
