"Wait- so you you're actually considering meeting a strange man who could very well be a killer, murderer, pshyco or terrorist??" Nick asks me after I finish telling them everything that happened this morning, up to me thinking about meeting the mystery man.
"You forgot rapist." Steph adds.
"I think she should do it." Destiny speaks up. Nick shoots her a glare, but she shrugs it off.
"Really, this could be good for her. When's the last time that our little Cammie went on a date or did anything fun?" She asks. Nobody answers, and I almost feel offended, but then I realize that it's true. I don't go out much anymore.
"I do too do things!" I attempt to defend myself.
"I meant with somebody other than the three of us." Destiny says. I have nothing to say to that.
"I'm reading a book about a girl who runs into a stranger, and she actually does go meet him. Then they run into each other a few times after that, and start to fall in love!" She says with a smile.
"Then what?" Steph asks.
"I'm not quite sure, I haven't finished it yet." Destiny says with a frown.
"I guess you can meet him, but only if we're there with you. Okay?" Nick says.
"Okay! And hey, I just want to know who he is. I'm not going to associate myself with him at all after that." I say to reassure him. He smiles and I pull him into a hug. Once I pull away, I glance at my phone to check the time. 2:25- we have 5 minutes left until I discover who the stranger is.
"What are we waiting for?" Steph asks as she heads towards our destination- Jamba Juice.
I pause and touch Destiny's shoulder, causing her to stay with me.
"You do realize that he does end up killing her, right?" I say to her.
"What?" She asks.
"In the book you're reading- he ends up killing her." I rephrase.
"Oh- yeah. But they don't have to know that. Love is brutal." She says before walking away to catch up with Nick and Steph.
"Love is brutal, huh?" I repeat with a laugh before catching up with the others. This should be interesting.
