I pause before walking into Mark's office. This could end up being the last moment I have with my sanity. I push the door open and Mark greets me.

"Camden! Just the person I wanted to see." He says with a smile. "Come, sit!" He motions to the chair.

"So what exactly is this whole 'One Direction' thing about?" I ask while sitting down.

"Oh yes. The Director told me that they wanted someone to show them around. I gave him my two best employees- you and Nicholas, and the Director decided that you'd be the best fit for the job. You get a month off to show them around Florida, and you still get paid. If-" Mark says.

"Wait- a month?? I thought I was just showing them around Disney World!" I begin to freak out.

"You are! Along with all the other cool places in Florida. By the way, you start tomorrow." He says.

"I'm still deciding if I want to do it... please Mark... can you give me some more time to decide?" I plead.

"Well..." he hesitates. "I suppose I could just tell the Director that you're a bit indecisive, given the late notice. Tell me by 8 p.m. tonight!" He says.

"Thank you thank you thank you!" I shout while reaching over the desk to hug him.

"You are living up to that 'World's Best Manager' mug that Nick and I got you last Christmas!" I say happily.

"Yeah yeah. See you at 8!" He tell me and I get up to leave.

"Camden, before you work today, head over to the hospital. Your mom just emailed me- she wants you there." He says, his voice serious.

"But-" I start.

"Don't worry, I'll find someone to cover for you. You should head over there now."

This could only mean one thing- my sister. I knew my mom and Mark were friends, but why'd she contact him? I check my pocket for my phone. Oh that's right, I left it at home. I need to stop being so forgetful.

I head over to the hospital. I've been here so many times in the last few months that I know where to go by heart. I get to my sister's room to see my mom, Skylynn, and Wyatt. All of them have been crying. I can tell.

"What is it?" I ask while looking at Emily laying on the bed.

"Next month, they might unhook her." My mom says, tears streaming down her face.

"What? Why?" I ask frantically.

"It's not right to keep her here like this." She says.

"Can't they do something? Like a surgery or something?" I ask, doubtful that they could.

She shakes her head. "We need a miracle." She says as she looks at Emily.

"Cammie," she starts. My dad and her were the only two people that always called me that.

"I need you to take Wyatt and Skylynn somewhere. They need to remember what being happy is. Okay?" She asks. I look at them and nod.

"Wyatt, Sky, you're coming to work with me today!" I say with a smile. Skylynn reaches up to hug me, and Wyatt does the same.

"Let's go guys. Today's gonna be great!" I tell them.
