Chapter 5

Lantaran akong umirap sa kanya. Hindi ko alam kong sinasadya niya ba ang tanong na iyon para inisin ako o talagang nakalimutan niya talaga ako. Pero syempre he's just pretending to not know me. My face is impossible to forget.

Dumiretsyo ito sa kanyang table. Hindi man lang hinintay ang aking sagot. Nakakainis.

Halos padabog na akong sumunod sa kanya. Inis akong nakatayo sa harapan ng desk niya. I know that this would be difficult, knowing him. He's hard and serious.

"Serene Fuentes, iyong inuwi mo sa condo mo."

That sound dirty but I don't want to sugar coat. I want to get this done.

Mukhang naalala niya naman.

"Okay. What brings you here? I'm busy man. I don't have time to entertain you."

He doesn't know about the rumor yet?
Bakit ba ang sungit sungit nito? Hindi naman siya ganto kasungit dati ah. He even comforted me. May dalaw ba ito?

Inilabas ko ang aking phone at binuksan ang article bago ipakita sa kanya. Kumunot ang noo nito at tumaas ang kilay ng tumingin sa aking phone. I don't want to explain what mess I got him into.

He frowned.
"You can clean this up without informing and involving me. Now please leave. My secretary was new so she doesn't know the rule that I don't entertain person who doesn't have an appointment." he said before he start reading paper in his desk.

Seriously! That's it? Di man lang ba iba ito magugulat. Sabagay I also saw some articles that he's involve or dating an international model. I also came acrossed some articles about his dating rumor with different socialite.

"Excuse me. You drag me into and this is just your reaction." I tried to blame him para naman makonsensya. Ganoon ko siya kakailangan. If Tita was telling the truth that his name will help me get back my career and popularity then I should double my effort.

Seryoso itong tumingin sa akin, slightly pissed.

"Look miss. I don't want to involve myself with showbiz. I'll ask my secretary to release a statement. Idedeny ko. So please leave you're disturbing me."

Bat ang kupal nito? Marami kaya siyang dating rumor with people who usually work in this industry.

Gusto ko din itong sungitan pero he'll be doing a big favor for me so I should be nice to him. Kahit sa loob loob ko gusto ko itong sungitan.

Huminga akong malalim. Paano pag hindi siya pumayag? San ako pupulutin?

I sighed again to ease my frustration.

"I actually confirm the rumor." I casually said trying to mask my nervousness.

 Pakiramdam ko hindi ito papayag and that makes me nervous. Baka ang sunod na naman na issue ko ay pagiging sinungaling kung sakali mang ideny. But I wouldn't allow him to do it.

Seryoso itong tumingin sa akin.

"Miss, I don't have time to play game with you."

"Well, just don't release any statement. Let them think that we're dating. Later on, I'm going to announce that we broke up."  I said confidently. Ewan ko kung saan ko nakuha iyon. Pero di naman siya lugi sa akin no. Ang ganda ko kaya. Wala naman siyang girlfriend or asawa according to google.

Tumaas ang kilay nito bago sumandal sa kanyang upuan.

" Why would I do that? Are you using me for publicity?"

He caught me there! I sighed.

"Wala namang mawawala sa iyo. I heard you don't have a girlfriend or wife naman."
