Chapter 7 (Lambs)

Roy gets picked up by an ambulance. Makhail takes Leslie to the interrogation room.

Leslie: i didn't hurt him I swear.

Makhail: Leslie, i read about it, the news paper article about your parents.

He pulls his phone out and shows her.

Leslie: i didn't know i was young.

Makhail: Leslie, if you didn't do this then who else would want to hurt him?

Leslie: Bella, she came to our house before the interrogation thing yesterday, i just wanna sleep, my heads all screwed up.

Makhail: listen just spend the night at my place, we'll get this all this sorted out tomorrow.

Makhail takes Leslie to his house and they both head to sleep. Makhails phone goes off the entire night with calls and text. Leslie wakes Makhail up.

Leslie: turn the news on.

Reporter: Adam the mayor of New Haven found dead today, he was hung from the clock tower, with a note on his body.

Makhail: cut it off.

Leslie: no Makhail you need to see this.

Reporter: the note stated he was forced to go stab Rohan but things went south after he accidentally stabbed Han, and he wants the world to learn the truth about the Sinclaires, i don't know what it means but specialist are working on this and-.

Makhail unplugs the tv.

Leslie: Makhail.

Makhail: Leslie, he killed himself.

Leslie: how do you know?

Makhail: he told me, he sent me the screenshots through messages, too much is going on in this town, somebody's trying to distract us from the bigger picture.

Leslie: i feel you but i need a ride home.

Makhail: ill take you let me go shower and get dressed.

Makhail drives leslie home then heads to the hospital. He walks in and sees Rue and Rohan. Rue runs up to him and hugs him.

Makhail: are you ok?

Rue: i thought something had happened to you.

Rohan: do you know who did it to him?

Makhail: not sure, I'm hoping it was a suicide.

Rohan: maybe, but we have some good news, they said he was showing some positive results in his test.

Makhail: that's good, have yall heard anything on Roy?

Rue: we've been so focused on Han, but you should go check.

Makhail goes to Roy's room.

Roy: hey.

Makhail: hey, how are you?

Roy: in pain but I'll pull through.

Makhail: that's good, do you mind if I ask, do you know who did this to you?

Roy: Bella and her screwed up sister.

Makhail: I accused Leslie, only because I read the news paper.

Roy: what, why would you do that, and why would you even think it could be Leslie?

Makhail: I wasn't thinking clear I just needed some sleep.
