"What's wrong, Chaeng?" someone asked from behind her. Roseanne sighed and tightened her apron, turning round to look at the person. She looked at her and gave a thin-lipped smile. The woman rolled her eyes and patted her shoulder harshly, making her wince.
"Seriously, what's wrong?" they asked again. Roseanne shook her head and pushed her hand off her shoulder.

"You know how it's Lily's birthday today?" Roseanne asked, an eyebrow raised at the surprised look on the other's face. The woman nodded and furrowed her eyebrows, crossing her arms.
"She wished that she wanted to see her dad." she resumed, ignoring the bitter look on her friend's face which contorted into an empathetic one.
"Just tell her, it'll save you trouble for the future. And also I need to get presents for her." the girl gasped, her mouth wide open.

Roseanne looked at her and let out a breathy chuckle, putting her hands on her hips.
"Lisa, you don't have to. And, it's her birthday, it'll just ruin everything if I tell her," she explained, Lisa looked at her and nodded, a grin forming on her face.
"Don't worry, Chaeng, you could do way better than him," Lisa reassured, pulling Roseanne into a tight hug.
"But - correct me if I'm wrong - isn't Lily his child?" she asked curiously, her attention only on her friend who looked at her with an uncomfortable and worried look.

She slowly shook her head, looking down and biting her lip to prevent tears.
"Oh crap- I've made another person sad, don't cry!" Lisa whined, hugging Roseanne even tighter and letting go a few minutes later, wiping the tears from her face.
"Someone's just entered, I'm going to go take their order now." Lisa smiled, waving and exiting the staff room. Roseanne sighed and looked at herself in the mirror, grimacing.

"I'm a mess." she chuckled silently, wiping the tears away. The door opened, scaring her and making her clutch her chest in fear.
"Roseanne, it's been long enough. Work, now." her manager said from outside the door, their head peeking inside the room and signalling to one of the tables. Roseanne nodded and tightened her apron - again - that hung from her waist, covering her skirt that seemed smaller than usual, her white, button-up shirt and a long tie, hung around her neck and dangling low.

She sighed, cupping her cheeks and grabbing a pencil with a notepad then leaving the room, walking over to the table her manager pointed at. Roseanne sighed and gave a small smile to the person which instantly vanished and was replaced with a look of terror.

"Roseanne."
