Chapter 5°

      Just great! I've just spent a week in college and I've somehow managed to give myself a shitty reputation, this is exactly what I was avoiding. I didn't want people knowing about me because if they did then he'd find me.
     If you are wondering who he is,  let me just say he's someone I met at the wrong time and place. Nevertheless Alexis and I are really close one, I can say she's my best friend and I really love her but in order to protect her she doesn't need to know the dark parts of my life.
            I managed to find myself a secret spot just a bit far off the main campus, it's a trekable distance. It's an old building,  so I just climb up to the rooftop. The view is amazing.  I feel like the world can't find me there. My eyes were itching so I removed my contact lens, I wasn't really worried since no one knew where I was or that's what i thought.
         I felt a presence here, someone followed me. My defensive instinct kicked in and I was ready to kick whoever was there. Hiding by the side, the person came out, I stuck my leg out so the person tripped and I did    the first thing I thought of, I punched him the face without looking.
        Shit! He said, I think you broke my nose. Looking up at me, I could see confusing written all over his face. He looked surprised and amused , he muttered a wow then I remembered I wasn't wearing my lens.
           Fuck! I exclaimed covering my eyes with my arm.
        Who are you? What do you want?
      I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. I just wanted to talk and also apologize.
       Removing my arm from my face, there's nothing to hide, he saw me already. I helped him up.
      I'm sorry, didn't mean to hurt you, I was just being defensive.
       He chuckled! He's really cute
    Nah! It's cool, I was the one who creeped on you but I must admit, you sure punch well. 
      I gave him a light smile in return.
Come sit with me? I asked
    Sure? We both sat down on the worn out couch there.
       Why are you here ?
    Where are my manners! The name's Ken. I'm Samantha' s twin brother. He introduced nervously.
        Wait what?! You're that bitch's twin? I don't believe this. He looked at me quietly.
       I'm sorry! I replied biting my lips, I shouldn't have said that.
     Nah it's okay! She can be a bitch at times. I just wanna apologize on her behalf. She can be a little extreme but I'm glad someone put her in her place .
     So wait? You are not angry, I slapped her?
    Not at all! I'm just relived someone isn't scared of her.
         I chuckled at his response. There was a minute silence. He kept looking at me there and then I knew he was curious about my eyes but he just couldn't bring himself to ask because he's afraid he'll be crossing the line.
        I know you're curious,  I spoke up breaking the silence.
      Am that I obvious? He said biting his lower lips.
         I was born this way. Heterochromia Iridium.  It's a condition where both iris have different colors. No ever as ever seen me this way except my family and you. I know what you're thinking, I look like a monster right!
    No! He said abruptly. I think you are beautiful. I've never seen anything like yours so I'm amazed. You are really beautiful. Why do you hide it though?
     I don't want people thinking I'm some kind of monster that's why.
    Well they are blind not to the beauty behind the smile. He told me.
    Smiling in return,  thank you! I said softly.
      Friends? He asked stretching his hand foward
    Friends ! I replied taking his hand.
    Please don't tell anyone about my eyes or this place, I pleaded
         My mouth is zipped! It's our little secret.
     Thank you!!
