Dolan pt. 3

Christopher

Come again?

Christopher stared at Minnie. She wore an unsure look and waited for his response. 

"I'm pregnant."

He didn't know what to say. He didn't know what to do. A memory flashed before his eyes from when he was eighteen and him and Minnie had gone through a pregnancy scare. After a long talk with his parents (the most supportive parents on the planet), he had made himself step up and take responsibility.

Now, it was time to do so again.

"How far?" he asked. 

"Eleven weeks." she gazed at the floor. He quickly did the math. It was his. 

He watched as she kept her gaze to the floor and for the first time since coming here, he noticed how tired and fragile she looked. Her usual shiny blonde hair, looked more...lifeless. She wore a gray t-shirt and a pair of black jeans and looked like she had lost weight. Despite, she was the most beautiful thing that he had ever seen.

Christopher let the information sink in. The thing that him and Amanda had been trying to get for a year, he was now getting with someone else. The love of his life. Minnie. 

He slowly stood up and walked over to her. He placed one finger under he chin and tilted it upwards so that he could gaze into her eyes. After a long moment, she finally let her eyes meet his. He bent down and caught her lips with his and kept the kiss gentle. He felt her wobble and placed his other hand on her lower back to support her. Right then and there he decided that he would do whatever he could to bring the life back into her eyes. 

When the kiss ended, Minnie frowned as she looked at him. 

"What do you mean about not being engaged anymore?" she asked.

"I confessed to having cheated. Amanda threw me out. I have been staying at Vic's for a while. When I went to try and fix things I met Amanda's secret boyfriend on the side." Christopher confessed and watched as Minnie took the information in, before he continued. "I was really glad when you texted me and I wanted to know that the thing with me and Amanda was truly finished before I took things farther with you. Now it is and I want to be with you. Forever."

Minnie gasped at his words and looked away. 

"I need to end the class that I was teaching. I finish the day at four, can you meet me at my place soon after?"

"Yes." Christopher answered without hesitation. "I will be there." 

Christopher watched after Minnie as she left. He stayed behind in the room, registering what had just happened. Then he decided that it was time to rescue Vic from headmistress Volt. He found them both by a wall with pictures of the "Class of 2019."

Christopher excused himself and Vic from headmistress Volt and the two of them left the large building and returned to their car. They drove off to a close by Starbucks.

"Well?" Vic asked before he sipped on his coffee. 

"I told her I'm free and she told me she's pregnant," Christopher said and ducked as Vic spit his coffee straight forward. "Dude!" Christopher complaint.

"Pregnant?" Vic asked and dried himself and the table with a napkin. 

"With my baby," Christopher nodded.

"Holy..." Vic trailed off. 

"We're meeting at her place after her work, if you don't mind waiting."

Vic smiled and shook his head. Then he began telling Christopher about what headmistress Volt had shown him. Luckily Vic had been saved for a while by Andrea calling him. Christopher chuckled. 

Christopher climbed the stairs to Minnie's apartment. He knocked on the door and waited for her to open it. He heard steps behind him and looked to see if it was Minnie running late. He froze as his eyes landed on Tiff.

"Christopher Dolan, is that you?" she removed her huge sunglasses from her eyes.

"Surprise." He half smiled. Tiff gave him a huge smile and embraced him. "What are you doing here?" she then asked. 

"I'm here to see Minnie," he admitted.

"I heard about the two of you reconnecting at the wedding. Old spark back, huh?" Tiff smirked.

"Something like that."

"You know she slept with someone after the wedding, right? Jake and I are still waiting for her to spill the details on that. All we know is that he was taken and-" Tiff cut herself off and widened her eyes. Christopher gave her an uneasy smile. "You?" she asked and suddenly the both noticed Minnie standing behind them. 

"I'm pregnant Tiff," Minnie whispered and tears rolled down her cheeks. Christopher wanted so badly to pull her into a hug, but Tiff beat him to it. 

"And it's his," Tiff filled in and Christopher saw Minnie nod against Tiff's shoulder. Tiff, who had her face to Christopher, looked up at him and her eyes very clearly told him to leave. 

"I should probably..." Christopher began, but Minnie let go of Tiff and turned around.

"No, stay." Her eyes were pleading him and his protective side immediately kicked in. He nodded and watched her release a relived sigh. She turned her attention to Tiff and told her that she would have her and Jake over the next day, but that tonight she really needed to talk to Christopher. Tiff gave Christopher a long and stern look before she gave Minnie a long hug and left the two.

Minnie unlocked the door and Christopher held the door for her as she walked in before him. She told him to sit on the couch while she unpacked some groceries that she had brought and then she went to change her clothes. Instead of the black jeans and gray t-shirt she had been wearing, she now had a pair of dark purple yoga pants and a tight white t-shirt. Christopher had to really contain himself from getting a hard-on. Him noticing that her boobs had gotten bigger really didn't help the situation. When he took a closer look he could make out the beginning of her baby bump underneath her shirt. 

Minnie placed herself on the far end of the couch and Christopher waited for her to talk. When she didn't, he did instead. 

"So, a baby."

She turned her head against him and nodded. She really was different now. Quiet and down. He stood his ground about wanting to make the life return to her eyes. 

"Do you remember when we went camping?"
