Lily's POV
I woke up at precisely 6 am and, as soon as I woke up, I looked around my surroundings in confusion. This was neither my dormitory nor my room at home. Then, the events of the previous night came flooding back and I smiled at the memory of James and me on the balcony. I went to my attached bathroom and freshened up. I put on my uniform and went downstairs to the Heads' common room. It was about 6:30 so I decided to read for a little while and then head downstairs.

I was lost in my book but I suddenly heard a loud thud from above me. I left my book on the couch and headed towards James's room, where the noise had come from. I knocked on the door and hearing no response, I pushed the door and stuck my head in. "Hey, Lily" I shrieked at the sudden noise. I looked down and saw James on the floor, tangled in his sheets. "Hi?" I replied. He grinned at the wall on his left. Only then did I notice that he was missing his glasses. "Where are your glasses, James?" I asked him. He frowned at the wall and said, "I left them on my bedside table last night but I think Padfoot took them" I nodded but then realised that he couldn't see me and said, "Alright. Can you stand up?" He tried doing so but ended up getting even more tangled up in his sheets. He huffed and then gave up. I sighed and moved to help him out. I managed to get the sheets on his bed and then there was the task of directing him to his bed.

He stood up and then started walking towards the wall he had been looking at earlier. I grabbed his arm and stopped him. "Can't keep your hands off of me, can you Evans?" he said, with a cheeky smile. I smacked the back of his head and then directed him to his bed. I made him sit down and said "Try not to go anywhere and break every bone in your body. I'll go get your glasses from Sirius."

"Wait," he said. I frowned and asked, "What is it?" He grinned and said, "Can you lead me to my window?" I simply helped him to his window and he put out his hand to open it. I opened it for him, curious as to what he was going to do. "Um can you give me my wand, Lily?", he asked. I grabbed his wand from his bed and handed it to him. He muttered, "Sonorous" and then proceeded to stick his head out the window. "PADFOOT!" he yelled. A few seconds later, Sirius's voice called back,
"WHAT IS IT PRONGS?"
"GIVE ME BACK MY GLASSES!"
"I DON'T HAVE THEM!"
"PADFOOT YOU CAN'T LIE TO ME!"
"MERLIN PRONGS! I DON'T HAVE YOUR GLASSES!"
"IF YOU DON'T HAVE THEM, WHERE ARE THEY?!"
"DID YOU CHECK UNDER YOUR BED?!"
James paused and then Sirius yelled, "YEAH I THOUGHT SO!"

I ran to his bed and looked under it. I smacked my forehead when I saw the glasses there. "Here," I told James, handing him his glasses. "Quietus," he muttered. He put on his glasses and said, "Thanks for helping me, Lily. I'm going to get dressed." I nodded and said, "I'm heading to breakfast. Should I apologise to Sirius for you?" We both grinned and he said, "Nah, Padfoot's used to it by now." I nodded and waved in goodbye.

I walked out of his room and went down to breakfast. I was greeted by Remus as always. We woke up earlier and got ready quicker than our friends. "Good Morning, Lily." He said, with a smile. "Good Morning Remus!" I wished him, cheerfully as I sat down opposite him. "How come you're late today?" he asked, with a frown. "I was helping Prongs," I said, with a grin. He gave a small laugh and said, "He lost his glasses again, didn't he?" I gave him an amused look and asked, "Does this happen often?" He sighed and shook his head in mock disappointment. "Almost every day! Half of the time it's Sirius, a quarter of the time they're under his bed and the other quarter he broke them somehow. You know, the first spell he mastered was 'Occulus Reparo'?" I laughed at this and we both took a sip of our tea.

We chatted for a few more minutes until I felt 2 people sit down on either side of me. On my right was James Potter and on my left was Sirius Black. They both grinned at me and I raised an eyebrow at each. "So Lily. I hear you helped Prongsie here this morning," Sirius began. I nodded in affirmative and raised an eyebrow at him. He simply continued grinning as he served himself. "Morning Lily," James said. "Good Morning James," I said with a smile.

I spotted my friends coming through the doors of the Great Hall and excused myself. I made my way to them and as soon as they noticed me, they ran towards me. I stopped where I was and opened my arms, laughing. They hugged me and then they let go. Immediately, both of them started talking about how much they had missed me in the dormitory yesterday. I laughed and said, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, one by one please!" They laughed along with me as we walked to the Gryffindor table.

I took my seat between the 2 Marauders again and resumed my conversation with Remus. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Marlene raise an eyebrow at Sirius. I shifted my eyes to Sirius to see him shrugging and gesturing with his head towards James. It was always quite freaky when those 2 had these telepathic conversations. Professor McGonagall came by to give us our schedules. I was planning to become an Auror so I needed to take Defence Against The Dark Arts, Charms, Potions, Transfiguration and for my 5th subject I had chosen Arithmancy. Marlene was going to be an Auror with me and Alice was planning to become a healer. From what I knew, James, Sirius and Remus were also doing the Auror course while Peter was taking the Healer one.

Remus and I had agreed to take Arithmancy together so we had the same schedule but I wasn't sure about Sirius, James and Marlene. "Marly!!" I whined. "Okay fine. I took Arithmancy too" she said, grinning. I whooped and hugged her. "Black, what did you take?" I asked Sirius. He gave me a very offended look. James answered, "We both took Arithmancy too, Evans"  he grinned and I said offhandedly, "Thanks, Potter," Now, it was his turn to look offended and he pouted at me. "Aw poor, wittle Potter. Are you sad?" I mocked in a baby voice. He stuck his tongue out childishly making me laugh. Then, the bell chimed signalling that we had to get to our classes. The 5 of us, that is, Remus, Marlene, James, Sirius and I, had identical timetables so we all headed to Arithmancy together. Alice and Peter headed to their first class which was Herbology.

TIME SKIP TO END OF CLASSES

When the final bell rang and we were dismissed, the girls and I packed up and walked out of the room at a normal pace. The Marauders had taken off as soon as we were dismissed and were now running through the corridors slapping hands and bumping fists. I invited the girls to come to my dormitory and they eagerly agreed. We spent the rest of the evening chatting and catching up and when the bell for curfew rang, they ran out to reach their dormitory in time. I changed out of my uniform into loose shorts and a tank top. I brushed my teeth, braided my hair and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
