Falling (A Jily Fanfiction)

Developing their friendship!! Just a bit tho

Lily's POV

I walked to the Gryffindor girls' dormitory to meet with Marly and Ali. We hadn't really talked or hung out this year, so we had planned a girls' day. For some reason, they had called me there at 5 in the morning. I knocked on the door and 4 hands grabbed me and pulled me into the room. They sat me down on my old bed and told me to wait until they finished showering and getting ready. Surprisingly, they finished faster than usual. Marly went first.  She pulled on a loose white t-shirt and a pair of comfortable black shorts. She went to the bathroom to change and Alice grabbed a pair of grey sweatpants which had a white spray paint design she had done herself and a matching hoodie. I looked in the mirror to redo my hair. I was wearing a pair of black leggings paired with a loose powder blue shirt. I tied my hair in a half-up, half-down style and let my bangs loose. 

Once they had both changed, they sat down on my bed and faced me. I raised an eyebrow and Marlene began. 

Remus' POV

"NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT!"

I shot up from my bed hearing shouting coming from somewhere in the tower. Being a prefect, I decided that I should go and find out what was going on. I got out of my bed, not bothering to make it since I knew that I would come back and collapse. I ran down to the Common Room and tried to track down the shouting. It was coming from...Alice and Marlene's dorm? I could fly fairly well so I went back up, grabbed Sirius' broom and flew to the girls' window. I was greeted by the pleasant sight of the Head Girl wrestling her 2 best friends as they tried to get a blindfold on her. 

I facepalmed and knocked on their window. They froze and looked towards a window. Lily, who was the first to recover, got off the floor and quickly opened the window. "You 3 can be heard from the other side of the tower. Can you keep it down?" They mumbled apologies. "What's going on here anyway?" I was expecting a proper reply but that was just too much for me to ask wasn't it. "THEY'RE TRYING TO BLINDFOLD ME! MERLIN KNOWS WHAT'LL HAPPEN IF I LET THEM. THEY COULD PRANK M-" "OH WE'RE YOUR BEST FRIENDS NOT SOME SORT OF DARK WIZARD OR PRANKSTER OR SOMETH-" "WELL YOU COULD STILL PRA-" "LILY WE HAVE NEVER PRAN-" Lily raised an eyebrow at this which cut Alice off. Then the shouting began again. I sighed and simply pulled out my wand. "Silencio," I murmured. A deathly silence fell and they stopped trying to speak and instead glared at me. 

I just told them, "I will first remove the charm off of Marlene and Alice so that they can explain. Please be quick. I'm exhausted and cold and the Sun hasn't even risen yet." I realised that I was barefoot and in my pajamas but sleepy and annoyed. "Lils we just have a surprise for you. We SWEAR that it's a good one. Just please let us blindfold you?" Marlene said, when I removed the charm. "We don't want to prank you. We're not the Marauders!" Alice added. I scoffed but Lily smirked and nodded. I took off the charm and said, "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to my dorm. Good night, girls." "Night Remus" they said in unison. I flew back to my dorm and, after keeping Sirius' broom back, I went back to my bed and fell face-down onto it. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I fell asleep. 

Back to Lily's POV

The girls decided that they would show me their surprise at a more decent hour. At this, I simply rolled my eyes because now that they had woken me up, I could not go back to sleep. So, while they took a little nap, I accio'd a book from my dormitory and sat down on my old bed. I began reading and lost track of time when suddenly:

TAP TAP TAP

I quickly looked towards the window beside me and saw a regal looking owl there with a message. I frowned and got up to see who it was for and from whom. I opened the window and took the piece of paper from the bird. It flew to Marlene's bed and landed on her owl, Cliff's cage. I let Cliff out of his cage and he perched himself next to the other owl. I fed them both a few treats while I opened the note. 

Lils! Where are you? I was getting worried so I sent my owl to find you. Send a reply back with Lightning if you get this.

My owl, Ophelia, was in my dorm. I wrote a quick reply 

James calm down I'm fine. I just came to meet the girls. Don't worry, I'm safe.

 I sent the owl back and within a minute or 2, a reply came back. 

Oh thank goodness. How come you decided to go there today? And what time did you even leave?! I was up at 5:30 for Quidditch practice and you weren't there!

Calm down! I came here at 5. And why did you go to my room, hmm?

Oh shut up. I went to check on you. I do it every morning.

You...really?

Yeah

That's sweet...or creepy. I don't know

*gasp* THE Lily Evans doesn't know something?! Wow that's a shocker

Oh shut up

Why don't you make me?

She stared at this note with wide eyes. She shook her head and simply wrote back with a smirk

Sure I wouldn't mind ;)

3rd person POV

A loud thud sounded from the Head Boy's dormitory. James let out a string of curses as he sat back up on his bed. He read the note again. And then again. He read it at least 50 times before his face broke out into a wide grin. He wrote a reply 

Oh really?

A reply came back soon

Hmm...sure

Okay I'm on my way to Gryffindor Tower now. Come to the Common Room, would ya?

Oh okay we're actually doing this. Alright I'm waking Marly and Ali up I'll be there in 10.

Why so long?

Have you MET Marlene?

Oh yeah

Yeah

Alright see ya

Bye!

After he sent this, he practically sprinted to Gryffindor Tower. But, he still had a lot of time until he met Lily. So, he decided to prank his dear best friends. The prank wars for this year hadn't begun yet so he decided that he could inaugurate them.  

A/N: Okay so I didn't do much in this because I can't think!! I'm trying to figure out what to do because I'm 13 and I dunno what happened in the '70s. All suggestions are welcome. Thx for reading. Ciao!!
