"You and Mark..." Taehyung started as he licked his lips, tightening his hold on the steering wheel.

The thought of Eve being close to that jerk made his entire being dry. He wouldn't deny, even a tiniest bit, that he was very jealous of him. Eve and his friends had an equation completely different. They took her as a sister and they knew that she was off limits for them. Thanks to the abundant glares and warnings he had given them. But Mark.

He never knew of his existence and his sudden indulgence in Eve's life was making him insecure. He trusted Eve more than anything. But the fact that he had been away from her for a reasonable amount of time made him a bit distant.

"Hmm? What about him?" Eve asked as she moved her gaze from the outside scenery to look at him. She had this stupid smile on her face with a dimple on her right cheek.

"You both are very close..."

"Yeah...we are. He is like the only friend I have since kindergarten. Of course, now I have got seven more. He has tolerated me ever since then. He even had a crush on me. But I had punched him when he had tried to kiss me when we were in high school. He was so impressed by that punch that he decided to train me on fighting. You know to protect myself and all. He was always there for me throughout. I am very thankful to him. And I am happy that he has a beautiful woman like Alice to keep him for life." She said as she smiled wider.

Taehyung smiled at her a bit but his mind was still on the point where she said that he was always there for her.

They soon reached in front of her house as he slowly parked it near the gate.

"I will see you tomorrow." She said as she unbuckled her seatbelt.

Taehyung grabbed her wrist and pulled her back. She looked at him confused.

"Don't you think you are forgetting something?" He asked as he frowned.

Eve took a deep breath as she thought.

Phone?
It was there.

Glasses?
Check.

Purse?
Double check.

"What am I missing?" She asked.

"This." Taehyung grabbed her face as he crashed his lips on hers taking her by surprise.

Pulling away he chuckled at the way her eyes were wide and she was blushing.

"Aww..you look cute!" He purred as he squished her cheeks.

"Gosh...Tae..good night!" She said as she hurried out of the door.

"Night!"

"Taehyung , son do you mind picking up Sujung from her school? She wasn't well today. And her mother is worried." Taehyuk asked as he entered Taehyung's cabin.

"I will go but because she is my sister. Not for that lady." He said as he clenched his teeth.

"Taehyung...she is your mother. Can you please at least respect her? Let alone talk to her."

"I can't. I am sorry." He said as he picked up his coat and made his way out, leaving his father.

Taehyung drove towards Sujung's school prior to thirty minutes before her dismissal. As he neared the school he saw Eve standing out side as she leaned against the car. She had her shades on as she was talking to someone on the phone.

He parked his car a bit far from her as he watched her. A little later her phone call ended as she stretched a bit going back to her stance.

"Hello?" Taehyung called her.

"Tae."

"Where are you?" He asked as he watched her smile while talking to him.

"I am outside for business."

Taehyung frowned at that.

What is she saying?

"Where are you exactly?"

"cant tell you."

"Why?"

"Sorry Taehyung. Got to go."

She said as she hung up the phone. He watched her as she crossed the road and went inside the school.

He waited as he watched kids coming out with their parents gleefully.

Then he saw. His sister in Eve's arms as she laughed at something Eve said. They were talking as Dean helped them cross the road.

His heart felt at ease when he saw them laughing together.

But why did Eve come to pick her up?

Dad asked me. So why ....

He wiped the thought from his mind as he watched their car roll away. He smiled at their departure one last time before driving back to his office.
