"What the fuck were you thinking!?" Jisoo shouted as she entered Eve's office.

Eve was working on her laptop when she looked up from her glasses to see a mad Jisoo walking towards her.

"Good morning to you too!" She said as she waved at her.

"Eve...This is not funny!" Jisoo slumped down on the seat in front of Eve as she crossed her hands in front.

"I had told you Ji. Anyone who messes with people I love will have to face me. Even if it mean—"

"Even if it means killing them at the cost of your own life. You should have seen that guy he was beyond terrified. I wasn't even assaulted the way you kicked his ass."

"Ji..."

"Don't 'Ji' me...Lee Jihyun next time if you are going to deal with something like this you will tell me first thing. Got it?"

"Yes.."

"And now...are you ok? Are you hurt anywhere?" Jisoo asked as she leaned forward.

Eve laughed as she saw Jisoo's frowning face.

"You just scolded me and then suddenly you start asking me if I am hurt. You are so cute Ji!" She said as she reached out to pinch her cheek.

Jisoo smiled at her as she was satisfied to see her sister smiling genuinely.

"Did...did you see them?"

"See who?" Eve asked as she brought her cup of coffee to her lips taking a sip.

"Taehyung..." she trailed off.

Eve stopped what she was working at as she could feel her heart beating erratically at the mention of his name.

Wait ....what?

"What do you mean see him?"

Jisoo sighed as she shook her head.

"He , Jimin and Jungkook were present at the club yesterday when you were going all haywire over that guy. They were standing just beside me when you dragged that guy and flung him in front of me and made him apologise."

Eve looked at her with horror in her eyes.

Oh my fucking lord...they know who I am now ...probably.

"So you ......told them.....about us?" She asked as she tried to keep a straight face.

"Well obviously! You literally told them who you were." Jisoo said as she grabbed Eve's coffee and sipped on it.

"I don't care."

"You do. You care a lot. And I know. They were your friends more like another family. Even mine. One of them is my boyfriend. So quit trying to be all oblivious and start believing and forgiving."

"I can't. I can't forgive him. When he didn't even have the guts to come and apologise." Eve said as she angrily typed on her laptop.

"Evie....you never gave him a chance. You should have talked to him. That girl Lisa she was messing with you and I am sorry to say but you gave up way easily. The Evelyn I know doesn't give up. Especially not when it involves people she loves."

"What if I am confused! I...I don't know what to think. I have been wracking my brain over this for the last couple of months and I can't come to a conclusion. If he loved me enough then why would he go fuck that bitch? When he clearly knew that she loves him."

"To protect you! God...Eve why can't you see? When it is right in front of your eyes!! He did it to protect you!"

"I don't know !!! Ok! I just don't know!"

Jisoo looked at her before standing up.

"I will see you at home tonight. We have guests coming in. Please don't be late and don't you dare bail out. I am warning you." Jisoo said when she saw Eve opening her mouth to probably resist the invitation.

"Fine."

"Good. Love you Eve."

"Love you Ji." Eve said as she saw Jisoo walk out of her office.

She called on the intercom as she sipped the last of her coffee.

"Cancel all engagements after 7 in the evening. I have a dinner with family."
