"What's your name?" I asked, breaking the silence.

"Seven."

"You just made that up didn't you? You've got to be joking," I refused to believe his name was actually Seven.

"The Legion calls me Seven because it's the lucky number. The number that always surrounds me with good things. It's been my nickname for a few years now," he paused, "my real name is Dimitri. Call me whatever."

"Interesting," I continued, "who's this 'Legion' you mentioned?"

He turned his head up to look at me through the mirror. "No one. It doesn't matter."

I knew I had to pry, it was obviously someone, or a group, he was close with. At least for the few recent years, they were the ones who gave him his nickname.

"Oh come on. Who do I have that I can tell?"

"Listen, you're lucky I haven't killed you yet. All you do is talk. Aren't you scared? Aren't you supposed to be crying? What's wrong with you?" He spat the last question out like an insult.

"Well you've shown yourself to have some decency. Sorry I'm not the scared little girl they show in movies. Here let punch through the window and scream to see if anyone can hear me out in the middle of nowhere. Maybe the cows in that field will save me."

He let out a small chuckle, "you think you're hilarious don't you? You think this is a game."

My jaw dropped in disbelief. This was far from a game. My life was on the line and he wanted to compare it to a game. I was kidnapped. He found it funny.

"Are you kidding me? You're amused by the fact that I'm back here, maybe living my last night alive. Hell, maybe my last few minutes. Fuck off."

Dimitri stayed quiet. He had nothing to say. Or maybe he did, but he never said it.

"What's with the mask?" again, i spoke what was on my mind.

"Isn't it a bit obvious? To protect our identities."

"Yeah but you can take it off now. There's no one else here," I said, trying to encourage him.

"If you're trying to pull a manipulative stunt, I've seen it all. You get me to take it off, you pretend you're in love, I fall for you. You escape. I know the drill and it won't work. Sorry."

I furrowed my eyebrows, confused and intrigued at the same time, "that's not at all what I had in mind, but okay. If you don't want to take it off, then don't," I put my hands up in defense.

I sat in the silence for a while, thinking about everything happening, taking in the whole situation.

I heard rustling in the front seat and he pulled the car over. My heart pounded a little faster as he turned around to face me.

"You really want to see my face?" he asked, in a softer tone than before.

"Yeah, I just want to know who you ar-"

I was cut off by him lowering his hood and pulling the mask off.

His hair fell in front of his eyes and he ran his fingers through it to fix it.

His jawline was defined and his eyes looked both caring and threatening. He had longer hair, a few strands swooped down just below his eyebrow.

I stared for a few moments before Dimitri spoke to break the silence, "that's what I thought," he flashed me a smirk before turning back around and driving again.

I sat there, surprised that he didn't look like an old creep. He was fit and definitely not what you'd expect when you think of someone who sits in front of a computer all day.
