I woke up to a banging on the door, I jumped up at the loud sound, quick to go answer it.

Much to my surprise, it wasn't the front door, but one to the side that I hadn't noticed last night. The banging continued as I opened the door.

A girl stood in the doorway, she had long dirty blonde hair with a side shave. She wore black ripped jeans and a crop top that barely showed her stomach.

"Iris right?" she didn't give me a chance to answer, "I'm Enid. Anyways Dimitri wants you and I'm the one who has to escort you, so don't be an idiot and try to run away."

I stood there confused, still wearing my clothes from last night.

"Oh, I'm assuming you want to get ready?" she looked to side and closed the door, "holler at me when you're done!" she yelled through the thin walls.

I walked back to my room, looking through the closet for some decent clothes.

I found a black shirt that had some movie characters on it, a black jean skirt, and some vans. I had to admit, they had good choice in clothing.

Tucking in my shirt, I went to the bathroom to brush my hair and teeth.

I styled my hair back in a low ponytail and went to Enid's door.

Knocking slowly, I hoped I didn't take too long.

She answered and looked me up and down, a smirk slowly appeared, "You look good."

"Thanks," I smiled as we walked through her apartment and out her front door.

"So you like Pulp Fiction?" she said looking at me.

"What?"

"Your shirt. That's the movie it's referring to."

"I've never seen it, this was just in my closet."

"You've gotta be kidding me," she chuckled, "you're so uncultured. We'll have to watch it sometime."

I nodded, confused why my kidnappers were being suspiciously nice to me.

We made it to the conference room from last night, but the papers were moved to the smaller table and there were about ten chairs at the longer one.

"Take a seat everyone should be here soon," Enid sat down in one of the chairs and I chose the one next to her.

We waited a few minutes and eventually someone walked in, it was Dimitri.

He looked exhausted, his hair was a mess and he had on a hoodie and sweatpants, "How long have you guys been waiting?"

"Not long, where is everyone?" Enid spoke.

"Hell if I should know, probably out doing some stupid shit," he pulled out a pack of cigarettes and lit one.

"Did you even sleep last night? Because you look like ass," Enid said.

"I didn't, and I know," he took a drag off of his cigarette, "that's what happens when you spend a whole night cleaning up someone else's mess," he shot Enid a glare.

"Listen that wasn't me. I did what I was supposed to and I did it right. You can check the work."

"I know it wasn't you, I'm still pissed at whoever it was though."

We sat in the silence for awhile until Dimitri spoke up.

"Well I assume they aren't coming, or they're extremely late. We'll start this ourselves."

He looked at me and put his cigarette out on the ashtray by him, "Iris, we need your help. We've been needing someone who can do a thing or two that can benefit us. As you can see, most of our team is lazy and can barely function. We've got a few good people but we need more than good," he paused for a moment, "I think you could do wonders for us. Set an example."
