The ball (anxiet)

Romans P.O.V
I love him. I really really love him. I just can't get him out of my head. Virgil. How he's so cat like and sarcastic but also how his eyes light up when he talks about something he likes and his small smirks. And I feel bad for insulting him but I don't want the others to know my crush. I had the perfect solution. A ball! I would say it was because I um er... KILLED A DRAGON WITCH. And then I'll ask Virgil to come with me, perfect. I walked into the kitchen putting on my most dramatic facade. "I am hosting a ball since I have killed a dragon witch!" I declare loudly.
"Awesome kiddo!" Exclaims Patton
"Very adequate" states Logan nodding
"Nice" mutters Virgil before leaving the room.
Virgils P.O.V
I went back to my room panicking, I don't have anyone who will want to go to the ball with me. I have a slight crush on a certain snake but he will never love me, and I can't just not go Patton will worry. I close my eyes and flop on my bed. But then I heard a loud crack and lifted my head to see. Janus. I lightly blushed under my foundation and turned away.
"So I heard Romans hosting a ball" he said making me blush harder
"Yes" I mumbled
"Sssso I was erm well wondering if maybe you would like to come with me?" He asked tentatively
"Oh my gosh or you serious?!" I yell
"Perfectly" he said with a look in his eye that I could tell it was the truth
"YES" I squeal hugging him. He smiled too and says we'll see you then and sinks out. After Janus has left I heard a knock on my door and a soft voice mumbling "Anx?"
I moan knowing it's Roman probably coming to insult me and make me have another panic attack. "What the hell do you want" I yell
"To talk to you" he replied I grudgingly get up and open the door. He slowly walks in and I say "Get to it Princey so you can get out my room"
"I was just wondering if you have found someone to go to the ball with?" He asks. And I feel like laughing he expects me to say no so he can make fun of me but I have someone to go with!
"Yes I am as a matter of fact" I say
"Oh well er yeah cool" he mumbled before leaving.
Romans P.O.V
I know I was rude to anxiety but I made it up to him, didn't I? This was all wrong he would never ask someone unless. Someone asked him. Just that thought made my blood boil, at someone else liking MY emo nightmare, that I treated like a freak. I sighed deep down knowing it was the truth, he hated me and there was no changing that. There was only one thing to do ask someone else. Remy. I went to him room and knocked. He answered with a Starbucks in his hand and said "Sup girl"
"Um Remy I'm really sorry about this but please can you go to the ball with me not like romantically but Virgil is going with someone and I was gonna ask him?"  I say in a rush
"Sure I got ya covered" he says before closing the door.
{time skip to the start of the ball}
Remy and I made our way down the stairs and began just chatting, Remy still moaning about the shortage of coffee. But then I saw a couple walking down the stairs someone who I never thought I'd want to see less. Virgil and DECEIT. That snake! But there was no changing who he was with. Virgil looked stunning in a black suit with a purple undershirt and Deceit matching but with a yellow shirt. I turn away with tears in my eyes hoping that they won't show.
