jungkook grinned at his past conversation and hugged his phone. he lied down on his bed, rolling onto his back and looking at his ceiling, still wearing his smile.
he has only known hoseok for a bit more than a month, but he's never been so invested in spending time with someone before, like he's done with hoseok.
now, you see, jungkook could read through anyone like an open book. that's what makes him so closed off. sometimes you could think of it as snobbish. but he just sees what he likes and dislikes in people. it's as easy as that.
but... hoseok is different.
jungkook likes the way hoseok treats him. he's very kind and makes him feel loved and so warm inside. he likes the way hoseok assures him that everything would be okay. he always felt safe with him. he felt so happy to finally come out of his shell knowing that he's not alone! the only problem is: jungkook couldn't read anything else in hoseok,
except loneliness. and emptiness.
how could someone so bright, loving and full of energy be the exact opposite in themselves? how was that possible?
jungkook found that fascinating. not in a good way, but it was interesting to see.
he wanted to help hoseok.
so, jungkook made it a point to text or even call hoseok as often as possible. he wanted to know more. every night would be more interesting than the last. every talk would last longer than the previous one.
with all this observation on hoseok, he failed to do one thing: to check himself, too.
maybe it slipped his mind that there was a strange, but warm feeling he'd feel even when hoseok was remotely mentioned in anything. the feeling of a tight hug that you'd wish would last forever.
jungkook was afraid to admit that he liked this feeling.
he was afraid to admit he liked this.
that he liked hoseok.
