It had been 3 months since they started working on the new camp. We got in contact with a construction company and they gladly came to help. Today was the day they were finally starting to alone the walls of the huge hole with concrete. We are finally making progress. I haven't seen syd all day. I wonder if she is looking for the queen of demons again. Over these couple months she has been trying to find her so we can at least have the ones that have woken up. I keep telling her to take it easy but she is very stubborn. I wonder if it's gonna be like this every time one of us wakes up. "El!" I hear a shout. "Oh there you are" I say as I walk over to syd. I didn't notice it at first but she had a bag in her hand, like a gift bag. It was blue and it had a white ribbon. "What's that?" I ask her "this is for you" she hands it too me. "You remembered?" I ask, shocked. "Yep, June 17th! How could I forget" she says. She then gives me a hug. "Happy birthday El'' she says. I haven't celebrated my birthday since my mom was alive. Mary always bought me a cupcake but I never felt like celebrating. I hope she is also having a nice birthday

6 months after that the camp was almost finished being built. We just needed interior decor. Because it was harder to hook up the high tech scanners on doors we had to use door knobs. "Ready to start living in doors'' syd asked me. "Am I ready? I'm relieved! I'm tired of all the mosquito bites'' I say scratching my arms. "I just want to charge my phone again" syd says taking her useless phone out of her pocket. "To what....play mobile games?" I tease. "Believe it or not yes" she answers. "Well I'm gonna go, I told jake I'd help him take in the furniture" syd says while leaving. "They really made the ex soldiers take in all the furniture" I say to myself. "Well they are the strongest wouldn't you say?" I hear a voice behind me "oh hey Morgan" I reply. Morgan has gotten more berable the past couple months. I wonder if it's because she doesn't have to sneak out anymore. Or maybe she's getting more mature. Who knows. "Hey that's a nice necklace, where did you get it" she asks. "Syd got it for me for my birthday" I tell her. "You and her seem close" she says "what do you mean?" I ask "she lets YOU call her nicknames but last time I called her one I got punched" she says. "Well yes, but I call her syd, YOU called her and terrorist attacker" I say. "Was I wrong? And that name sounds kinda badass" she rebutted. After a few moments of silence she changes the topic. "So your an adult kid now?" She says...that kinda sounds like a question. "I'm 17....but what the hell is an adult kid?" I ask. "It's where you have to be mature but are still allowed to be told what to do" she says. I think I just lost 5 braincells listening to this.  I think she could sense the confusion so she decided to clarify. "Basically you're a big baby" she says. "Big words from someone who still believes in Santa Claus" I say "why is it so hard to believe Santa exists?" She asks. I roll my eyes. We continue talking about pointless things until Morgan leaves to go eat lunch. I wasn't hungry so I just headed back to my sleeping bag. I decided to read.

After a couple minutes I felt something hit my head. "Ah!" I look next to me to see a bag of chips. "You could just hand it to me" I looked over to Syd. "Eh, I'm good" she then tossed a water bottle to me which I caught this time. She sits next to me. I opened the bag of chips and grabbed one, throwing it at her, and even though she wasn't looking she caught it in between her pointer and middle finger. She threw it in her mouth. "The fact that you thought that forgetting that I'm the warrior of protection proves that you don't pay that close attention" she jokes. I shrug. "I just wanted to get you back for throwing the bag at me" I say. "Also, try and dodge this if you're so cool" I smack her in the back of the head. "Agh!" She reacts. I laugh. We sat there and talked until she left to move furniture again.

With all the furniture in the building we finally started moving in and assigning rooms. Of course there was an adults portion, a teens portion and a kids portion like before. Syd decided that she still wanted to sleep in the teens portion because she had gotten used to it. We were all given our keys and we headed to our rooms. I layed in my bed as sleep took over.

A couple hours later I heard a voice. "Did you miss me"
