Return of the demon

"Oh hell no" I say as I grab a book next to me and start swinging. "Could you maybe, not!" She says. I throw the book at her and sit on my bed. She ducks so it hits the wall. "Wait a minute why are you here and I'm not in hell" I noticed there weren't vines everywhere and no red glow from fire. "That's a good question, I just wanted to have a chat," she says. "A chat?" I ask. "Yea, about another deal" she says. "There is no way you are going to convince me to give you my soul" I tell her. "It's not about your soul, dumbass" she says. "What else could you possibly want?" I ask. That was a legit question. What else could a demon possibly want other than my soul. "Do you know where the queen of demons is?" she asks. "What the hell do you want with the queen of demons, you want to take her title or something?" I ask. "What I want is none of your business, what is your business is your business is whether you die in the next 3 seconds or not" she says with a smile on her face. A very forced smile. "I don't know where she is," I said. Her smile disappears. "What?" she says. "I have no idea where she is so if that's all you came here for you can beat it" I say. She stays silent for a moment. "... fine" she walks away. "If you do ever happen to find her and you give her to me I might let your friend live" she says. "What do you mean" I ask. "Oh, don't tell me she didn't tell her 'best friend' about the deal we made" the demon says. "What deal!" I start to feel angery. Heat rushes to my palms. Meaning if I don't calm down I might catch this place on fire. "Well we are currently in a war to the death" she says putting her palm to her cheek. "It will only end once one of us kills the other". Syd told me that this demon wanted her dead but not that she made a deal. She was actually stupid enough to make a deal with a demon. I've learned no matter what deal you don't shake hands with a demon. "You're a liar" I say. "Oh, you refuse to believe your best friend made a deal with a demon" she says "that's not the part you're lying about" I say. Her eyes widen and she looks at me. "What!?" She almost yells. "You seriously think I'm stupid huh?" I ask. "There is no way to break a deal" I say. "I know there isn't," she says. I can see she's confused. "But that contradicts what you just said" "does it?" She asks. "You said if I ever found the queen of demons you would let syd live" I tell her. "Correct" she states. "But you can't break a deal" I say. "I'm lost" she says. I facepalm. How is it I know more about the rules than she does? "Deals only go away after they have been fulfilled" I say "yea?" She says wanting me to continue. "Meaning even if I did tell you where the queen of demons is the deal wouldn't just end" I say. "Oh, I was just gonna not do it....call a truce" she says. I look at like she is the most stupid person on earth. Kinda like how the author looks at her sister. Whoops that's the fourth wall I just broke. "Isn't there some sort of punishment if you don't follow through with a deal?" I ask. "I'm the queen of hell!" She says. "Satan still exists" I state. "Fine I'll think of something else!" She yells. "As per usual I visit you and be nice and yet you have to be annoying". She says. She walks to the window. I guess that's her exit. "Oh grow up, you probably died during your 2004 emo phase" I say while walking to my bed. "I died in 2006, when the author was born" she says while climbing out of the window. She then flew off into the night. "There goes the fourth wall again" I say before climbing into bed and staring at the ceiling. It's hard to believe syd was stupid enough to except a deal from a demon. Her finding us wouldn't even matter now. If anyone else but syd kills that demon we will also be killing syd. So the other 6 of us are essentially just distractions. Warrior of protection and her bait. I roll over to my side. I am definitely confronting Syd in the morning.
